9.5/10Lovely afternoon tea. They made up a plate of tasty vegetarian sandwiches along with delicious cakes and with unlimited pots of tea! Great service by Bristi and Hannah- attentive but didn’t rush us so it was very relaxed. Lovely room and outlook, seats a little uncomfortable.

6/10The voucher title I have purchased was traditional afternoon tea with wine or cocktail for two. But they didn't serve either wine or cocktails. Although staff asked our name and appointment time, they asked nothing about vouchers, so we thought the payment has already been settled. When we're leaving, the staff said that we haven't finished payment and we were taken to the manager and we had to show the vouchers receipt and code etc. The attitude of the staff and manager were so rude to us. Why they didn't ask us the voucher code first? We're treated like criminals. We won't come back there ever again.

Disappointed at what you get for the price you pay. £61 including service charge for 4 finger sandwiches, 2 tiny scones and 4 tiny cakes and that does NOT include a glass of presecco. For an extra £15 I could have booked Fortnum and Masons where they offer top ups of the cakes and sandwiches for £75. Very disappointed and had to ask to have our tea refilled, servers did not once come and ask how our afternoon tea was or if we needed a refill. Would not recommend 😕

8/10I have recently read some bad reviews, however, I can honestly say my two friends and I had a superb time, and the sandwiches (scrumptious), scones (mini ones, just perfect), and cakes (lemon meringue, just delicious). The service was top notch - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and would definitely visit again.

10/10Super ambience, luxury but welcoming. Beautifully presented, table setting, hotel setting was all first class. Afternoon tea was one of the best we have had for £50.00 and would definitely recommend. Lovely lovely staff

4/10We waited 25 minutes to be seated then waited another 20 minutes for food to arrive was half way through my food before my pot of tea arrived I've had many afternoon teas in London this was probably the poorest very average tea not worth the money

6/10The service was very slow and at times abrupt. The food was ok but certainly not worth the full price of £50 or indeed the special afternoon tea offer of £37.50. We would not recommend or return.

5.5/10Our reservation was for 14:30 . We arrived 5 minutes early and had to wait 10 minutes to be seated and yet another 15 minutes before our tea order was taken. It appeared there was only 1 server. There was no privacy as hotel guests used the room as a bypass. A waited experience and much disappointment.

10/10The food was delicious. Our server, Olena, was wonderful and very helpful with recommendations. Their special tea, Strawberry and Cream, is a must! The tea room was so relaxing. Would love to go again!

6.5/10The table get very crowded with everything, no idea way there is not of choice of brown and white bread, so not all sandwiches were not eaten. The ambience was lovely and relaxing, my mum asked to take away box again abit disappointing some plastic box with lids were brought out, nothing representing the hotel . Our party was travelling through from New Zealand and around Europe so we did think a-little special treat. I myself would not rush to come back to the Horseguards for afternoon tea, but I am sure with a little abit of a tweaking it would be lovely. The sparkling wine was delicious.

4.5/10What was offered for a vegan afternoon tea was totally disappointing. For a 5 star hotel/restaurant they should put more efforts into their vegan afternoon tea menu. The vegan scone was very dry, didn’t not look like a scone, rather a thick dried up short bread biscuit. The chocolate brownie cake was also dry. Unfortunately I won’t be going back for afternoon tea.

8.5/10The service was pretty good. The sandwiches were a bit dry. But the scones were pretty good as with the other mini desserts. The earl grey tea was as expected but we had to ask for a refill. No free refills on anything but the tea and it has to be the same.. All in all it was okay and they let us linger to talk. I might go back but I think I may try somewhere else as well.

7/10The hotel and afternoon tea were lovely. However the website I'd booked the afternoon tea through stated the price was £39pp, but the menu and hotel staff informed me they'd just changed the price to £45pp. I was not happy with this and to make it worse the service was not good. We were not asked for drink orders for a long time. An afternoon tea arrived at our table but was then taken away and given to a table who arrived after us. We then continued to wait for a further 15+ minutes until ours arrived. I will not be returning.

9/10Our waitress Ozoda did a great job and helped to make our 55th wedding anniversary a memorable one.My only complaint was that the Lounge area we were seated in was not very warm,being open to the large reception area and near large external doors, would only be an ideal location in the summer and not a march day when we booked.

10/10As it was my birthday, I decided to go for afternoon tea. I used a website to book it and choose this because it looked nice and wasn't horrendously expensive. The service was fab, and the surroundings relaxed and elegant. We did not feel rushed, and the food was great. I was also presented with a mini birthday cake complete with candle, which was totally unexpected. A great little find.

I took a friend that was visiting LDN from abroad for afternoon tea; I usually go somewhere else for afternoon tea. the service was somehow slow; it was difficult to grab the staff’s attention; the tea quality was not good and the food was disappointing. It felt as if the staff had other pressing issues to attend to rather than look after the customers.

8.5/10We arrived and were given a super table next to the fire, the menu for afternoon tea was explained and they accommodated without a problem our alterations. Service was slick and professional. Food quality was good and had some lovely touches. We were left to enjoy with no time pressure. Will return. Great value at £30p head.

5.5/10We have never been anywhere for high tea where food wasn’t replenished or extra cakes offered. It was so basic and poor, any high street cafe will do better. Disappointing for 5 star high tea, as advertised.

2/10The actual afternoon tea food was ok but the area where we sat was freezing! We sat with our coats on the whole time. We were planning on staying longer but couldn’t due to the cold. We were afraid of getting sick so we left. This is unacceptable for a five star hotel! The management has to clearly deal with this issue..we will definitely not be returning.

4/10The hotel was freezing cold. There was no heating anywhere and we sat shivering. The food was of very poor quality, a few very soggy sandwiches and miniature hard scones. The service was slow, we were given tea which was lukewarm and had to wait for a while to have milk and sugar. Having had afternoon tea at some amazing places in London the comparison was truly negative. Would not go again
