We visited Maine Mayfair as a belated birthday dinner for myself. The service and food were great. We were hoping to sit in the main dining area which we didn’t get to do for better view/ambience and the area we were eating in near the bar was very loud. The waitress was great and offered a lovely birthday dessert. We just felt the restaurant was a little more expensive than the experience we had. But overall I would recommend anyone to try it

I came here a few times the past 4 months. We came as a couple, but now we have brought friends along. The good weather allowed us to try the terrace for the first time. It is as good as the inside area of the restaurant. We tried new plates as the terrace menu is slightly different from the restaurant menu. Still, the Grilled Seabass is my favourite here, and then the Halbut comes next. I highly recommend The Maine, for sure will come here again and again.

Stunning venue but when I booked I didn’t realise there were a few rooms to book into! We ended up in the drawing room. Beautiful room and service was brilliant BUT lots of people coming in for a drink while they were waiting for a table downstairs in the jazz area, made me feel like I was in a bit of a waiting room. We were also sitting next to two incredibly drunk people…they knocked glasses over several times…they were incredibly loud. Good for them but I would have liked the restaurant to have acknowledged that our evening was being a disturbed: we spent almost £500 between the two of us. An expensive evening lovely beautiful room, food great but will not rush back as we felt we were in a very expensive bus terminal.
