We are from Weybridge and used to come to the Minnow quite often, but as the quality of food had deteriorated we stopped coming. Today we decided to try it again, for the soul music. We booked a dog friendly area for a pleasant lunch but were given a small table in the bar area with a stool and bar service!! - when we asked for a chair we encountered a rude staff (front of house) stating that we had booked the bar area!! We had to wait some time for our fish & chips - after asking how long it would take to get the food we were told 'it comes when it comes'. We had the feeling that customers are seen as a nuisance. We eventually received the food after 45 minutes. Unfortunately it was not worth the wait because it was quite mediocre!! The chips were soaked by the fat dripping from the fish. The whole experience was really disappointing.

We ate outside and were looking forward to a Sunday roast. The pleasant chap serving us was dressed like a tramp, the Yorkshire pudding was cold and the food was served at least 3 minutes before the cutlery. I chose the trio of roasts, but found. th beef to be full of gristle and the pork was almost entirely inedible uncooked fat. I don't know what the chef was thinking.

It was packed and yet still we got attentive service with a smile from Ollie and the team. Great food too, I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

The food was good but could have done with a bit more veg - spoonful of cabbage seems a bit tight The service was the highlight - LILY is very good at their job A great team member Other than that, will return but up the cabbage amount please!

Fairly limited menu with too many fish dishes. Some items not available - but that seems par for the course with a number of restaurants due to circumstances beyond their control. However this was more than made up by complimentary sweets by the manager. Service was excellent - attentive but not over intrusive. Restaurant was clean and welcoming. Prices and portion size was very good. No complaints whatsoever.

We were so well looked after by Zoe. Our food was delicious. Only disappointment was that the cheeseboard was not as shown on the menu. All in all we were very happy

It was a very calm, warm and cosy restaurant, waiting staff were attentive and food was great! Allergen info is good and accommodating, as are any small change requests.

Very busy but super-attentive staff. Lovely roast dinner, and not pushed to leave when finished eating. Staff always around to catch attention, and everything clean and tidy. Looking forward to go again!

I haven’t seen my friends for a year, so I thought the Minnow has a lovely quiet garden and decent food. Soon after we sat down a lorry arrived to delivery barrels of beer, which were rolled noisily right next to our table, and the empties up from the basement also very noisily. That went on for a good 20minutes. Nobody apologised for the disruption. When we ask for more tap water it was served rudely. The staff seemed stretched. I feel disappointed about my lunch experience.

Atrended for a family birthday. Great menu, lots we would have happily chosen. Lovely food - the desserts were particularly good. Good, unhurried service. We all enjoyed it!

The Minnow is fantastic always enjoy my meal there , sometimes they are so busy the service is a little slow but tonight was bang on , on all counts . The food was excellent The cocktails were excellent The service was excellent from the time we walked in to the time we left

Lovely setting, sitting outside in the sunshine, and a good menu offering excellent food, with some pub classics alongside some more imaginative combinations. The service was fine, although l would caution you to check you bill; we were asked if we wanted to add a tip to bill with 10% service already included.
