10/10Service and food was excellent. I told them one of the dishes was too spicy for me and they offered to remake it but I don't want to trouble them. I asked for extra rice instead and it was given on the house. Lovely gesture. ☺️ 🍚

10/10Whenever we are in London we always book to eat at The Monsoon! The food is absolutely gorgeous, the restaurant is always busy and exceptionally clean. The staff make you feel extremely welcome and are always lovely. Prices of food are very good too, best curry house for us on brick Lane

5.5/10Visited a while back and all was good. Surprised this evening to walk in to the supposedly Trip Advisor no1 restaurant in Brick Lane at peak time to find just 4 other diners. When we left, we understood. Something has changed here, and not for the better. Starters were fine, but mains were just so disappointing. At £22 for a fish thali you shouldn't be having to micro-dissect each mouthful to avoid choking on bones (apparently this is 'how the fish is'.). The rest of the thali dishes had the same tomato based sauce with some different bits of fish added. The butter chicken tasted like it had had a bag of sugar added and was inedible. As is often the case, the waiting team tried to make amends by offering a 'free shot' at the end. Please just return to offering decent food.

9.5/10Compared to the son's restaurant nearby: almost identical menu, we tried the real Bangladeshi dishes, loved the fresh coconut on the naan and in one of the dishes. But yesterday we felt the flavours were even better. Still, an absolutely brilliant place to which we would return again and again.

7/10This is the second time we came to Monsoon to have our meal, We took a friend for his birthday and he enjoyed himself. the service has been good both times, however, the chicken biryani my sister ordered is not as good as the special biryani we had when we came a week ago. The overall food today is good.

9.5/10We had some friends came to visit from Sydney, in total there were 6 people including us and we had such a good time, the food was excellent, service was very good, the atmosphere is very good and the location of the restaurant is easy to get to. Our overall experience we had was amazing, our guest loved it. We will definitely come back to this restaurant and even bring our dad.

7/10The high score review made our expectations quite high. The restaurant is pleasant, it has a traditional feel to it. Staff are welcoming and friendly. The menu is quite reach, we had 3 starters, a vegetarian and a lamb main. While the dishes were good, we felt that it was missing the true authentic flavours and lack in the freshness in the starters.

7/10Narrow two-story restaurant. We were originally led to the back near the kitchen door but the host agreed to seat us on the more spacious 2nd floor. Very large menu and large portions. Huge pappadam starter with dipping sauces was the highlight for me. Highly praised Garlic Nan was ok, raita seemed to be plain yogurt (no visible flecks of spice or cucumbers), and none of my 3 starter-size veggie sides was distinctive. In fact, 2 which usually have somewhat different sauce and spice combinations tasted basically the same. .

9/10The food and service was good. Was our kids first time trying indian food. We were so unfortunate to sit next to an extra, very loud group that made us impossible to have any type of a conversation.
