9/10A great Place to visit, tucked away and warm and cosy with plenty of choice of menu and seating areas to suit most ,and the staff are all really friendly and make you feel welcome and service you are not waiting a long time for makes it a good choice .

6/10Starter meals were fine however the main meal was a let down for my wife. I had the pie of the day which was good with mash and was hot - on December 22nd my wife the hot beef brisket sandwich and because it was good decided to have it again yesterday - it was completely different the whole meal was cold chips sandwich and even the small pot of gravy were cold - she saw no point in sending it back or telling the waitress as we had waited a long time to get our main meals as service was quite slow. All in all a disappointing experience.

10/10Place is so nice. We sat in the garden which was lovely in the sunshine. The staff were very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Lots of room in the car park. Will definitely be back.

10/103 of us for family lunch - one of our party had number of food intolerances which were easy to accommodate - extensive menu with interesting deviations to the norm - quality of food preparation, presentation and taste of the highest order we had mains, desserts and alcohol

10/10Food was very good quality, full English Breakfast for Mothers Day Special Brunch. Service was excellent. Value for money was really good. Totally recommend this pub.

10/10Our cousins from Australia visited us and we booked a table for four at the Park Gate Inn. What an inspired choice! They loved it as did we. The food was delicious and the service very good. The ambience of the pub was great too. We shall be returning patrons in the very near future. Thank you for making our dining experience a faultless one.

5.5/10This was a big disappointment. A pub that allows dogs to stay with their owners while eating is something to celebrate. But you wouldn’t have thought that on the day that we went. The service was half hearted and inattentive. The food (a couple of steaks with the trimmings) was not of the best quality (though the prices didn’t match that!) when the bill came it arrived in the form of a bit of screwed up paper and my wife, who was picking up the tab, felt distinctly snubbed. We are unlikely to be seen in this place again - which is a pity because with a few tweaks and more enthusiasm the venue has a lot of character and no doubt attracts a busy turnover of customers. To be a truly Vintage Inn the staff and management really must try harder!

9.5/10I've overlooked this pub before due its location on A20 but it is definitely worth going. Very friendly staff and a good menu choice, more than just usual pub grub, with sensible prices. It was v busy for a Tues lunchtime so they are obviously doing something right. Well done!

10/10Our 2nd visit to the Park Gate Inn Even though it was Bank holiday and busy ! We were shown to out table quickly. Menu excellent choice of food , we waited just over half an hour for our main course . Desserts delicious.

8.5/10Our waitress Bamber was fantastic. Very friendly and welcoming. Always ready to help and was great with our two children. The restaurant, as a whole has hugely improved over the last few years.

10/10Customer service was fantastic, pub was clean and not to packed. Food was delicious. If there was any was of having deals on good or making food slightly cheaper, that would be only construct to give!

10/10I love Sunday lunch at The park gate inn. Stuart ,Amber and Charlotte always make us feel welcome and are always polite and very attentive. The food is cooked brilliantly and beautifully presented. We’ve never had a bad meal here and highly recommend. Thank you all again.

9.5/10This was our first visit to the Park Gate Inn and will not be our last. Parking is good. We were shown to a lovely table with comfortable seats, the waitress was attentive and polite. The food excellent with a wide choice. My husband enjoyed the fact that his three favourite beers were all on tap, and, he says, well-kept. A most enjoyable lunch.

10/10Wow, menu was superb in choice, specials sounded very interesting. The four of us opted for the sea bass fillets on a bed of spring onion mash with pancetta veloute, from the specials. Not only interesting but absolutely delicious! Only disappointment, no New Zealand sauvignon blanc. Service great, safety guaranteed.

6.5/10One of the guests was totally disappointed with her choice of food, the beef bourguignon, and was only able to eat a small proportion of the meal. Two others complained about the lack of green vegetables included with their meals - the nutritious balance of all recipies needs to be looked at more critically.
