6.5/10very disappointing that the menu bore no relation to the website [apparently because of previous owners} and was very overpriced with few choices. I gather they are working on it but the lunch was not brilliant, sorry. Shame as the place is lovely.

Friendly pub serving excellent food. We were there on Burns Night and there was a special Burns night menu in addition to the regular menu. The pub was busy and had a lively atmosphere. Would recommend.

6/10i looked at the menu on the website when we got there it was completely different if the menu we were given had been on the website we would not of gone, as we struggled to find anything we wanted as starters, very limited choice of mains we liked, and there was no pudding we liked we are not fussy eaters, older generation so don't like fry's we like chips or flavors added to our mash the pub and staff are lovely the menu needs to be changed but all personnel choice

9/10Dining with a group of friends. The beef was delicious, few items could have been hotter but it didn't detract from the meal. Servicecwas exceptional. Would definitely return.

10/10Wonderful traditional village pub in beautiful and peaceful South Stoke. Been there many times in the winter but this weekend found out that garden is a match for the cosy interior. Sunday roast was very high quality, delicious locally sourced meat.

10/10We had a fabulous lunch at The Perch and Pike last week. The food was delicious, hot and freshly cooked. The waiter was brilliant too, tho he was on his own so service was rather slow. But we remained very relaxed and unhurried. Don't go there if you have a time limit. It was very relaxed. Definately recommend to all our friends and we will go again, and again!!!

7/10Lovely pub. Very busy as it was mothers day. Was hoping the menu would have had a lot more choice-( I don’t like roasts) . Soup needed to be reheated on both occasions- delicious when retested. Bread accompanying soup was stale- shame. I’d just baked a loaf at home!

7.5/10The lunch menu was smaller than online but the food we had was very good. Music was too loud as we were next to a speaker but there was no problem getting it turned down. Very friendly service.

10/10Lovely country pub with very nice staff. We had a delicious meal from the specials menu. There are dog friendly tables ( not many in the bar) and dogs are not allowed in the restaurant but they are made welcome.

8.5/10We booked dinner table for 2, arrived before 7pm and few main dishes sold out. Service is good but slow to deliver main dishes while it wasn’t full house.

9.5/10Absolutely fantastic meal. First time we have been in since being under new management, it definitely won’t be such a long gap until we next visit. Highly recommended - but would be nice not to hear the Spotify adverts - go premium!

10/10From the moment we got there to the moment we left, we were met with excellent service, really lovely friendly staff and one of the best roast dinners we’ve ever had! Generous portions, perfectly presented. Big thank you to everyone for an exceptional meal following our walk along the river. Perfect way to end our afternoon. 10/10. Thank you
