The score doesn’t reflect the service, Service was excellent, I had booked at least a week ahead, But because a group of nine people came in on spec, we waited over an hour after putting our order in. Food was good, service was excellent when we asked them to come over. Would I go again, definitely. Thank you

Service excellent. Presentation of food beautiful. Starters excellent. Main course good (we had fishcakes) but quite bland. Would have liked some chips and some salad but can only choose one or the other. Also needed more sauce. Ambience very nice. Wine delicious but expensive.

I have dined at the Pheasant many times over the years and the food, service and ambiance have remained to be of the highest standard. It is not the cheapest restaurant but worth every penny. Even at busy times I have found patrons are never rushed and service to be polite and efficient. Well done.

Such a shame, the most beautiful pub great location, great interiors, lovely outdoor eating area and lovely attentive staff. Sadly let down by our choice of meal. Large beef salad with 1 quartered hard tomato, cubed cucumber and probably six spinach or lambs lettuce leaves with large chunks of grey meat @ £17 each honestly no larger than a garnish. I very rarely write a negative review but just so disappointing. Just the wrong choice on the day

We really enjoyed our meal. The staff were extremely friendly and noting was too much trouble. The only disappointment was that the fish dishes were all unavailable. The food was lovely.

The seating was perfect and the staff friendly,helpful and efficient. The main courses were good and the crumble lovely. The only disappointment was the lemon alaska as the meringue was soft not as you would expect. Spring water expensive at 3 20 per bottle.

Enjoyable meal, service a bit poor when we first arrived as we waited nearly half hour to even be offered a drink. It was very busy but would have expected a drink quicker. We go here a lot and will definitely return maybe go the bar ourselves first. Rest of evening good and food delicious.

2 of us had tempura mushrooms which were disgusting, the batter was extremely greasy and the mushrooms needed a steak knife to cut them. I had fish and chips as I didn't see anything else that I fancied, the batter was the same as the tempura (nothing like proper tempura) and extremely fatty. Although the waiter was very pleasant he didn't ask if I enjoyed either the starter or the main, despite seeing the quantity left on the plates. The drinks were very expensive.
