We had a nice meal on Saturday night although we were a bit squashed on one side of the table as there were 7 of us on a table for 6. The food was good and the service excellent. Our only query was on the vegetarian meal - celeriac steak which was a similar price to the meat dishes and didn’t come with any accompaniments which made it expensive as you then had to add side dishes to make it a meal.

We had along wait for our food,and when it came my seabass was very over cooked.I complained and the waiter agreed and didn't charge for it.The evening was disappointing. Would not go to the Pine Marten again.

Just 2 friends. We had burgers with fries. I had to approach the bar to order desserts because the waiter had disappeared. After 30 mins, I had to ask the bar where the dessert was... unfortunately made but not delivered. They offered it for free but we had an appointment & could not spare the time.

The staff were not as attentive as they usually are, we waited a long time for our food. 3 out of 4 had steaks which were very good… one had fish and chips which were very disappointing absolutely tasteless. There was 50% discount on main meals so it didn’t seem so bad.

Our server, Millie really went the extra mile and was so incredibly thorough with the order when we let her know that someone in the party had issues with dairy. Fab food, fab service and great atmosphere - will definitely go back

We had a wonderful experience. I'm not such a big salad fan, but I ordered the 'Nourshing' option which is an absolute must for any foodie: wild, luscious, intense flavours (also comes with sea bass or salmon) - overall a hugely enjoyable experience and top quality service. Heartily recommended!

I enjoyed another good meal at the Pine Marten. I took a friend who had not been there before. She also enjoyed it and commented very positively on the surroundings and atmosphere of the hotel.

Belly pork was so fatty I couldn’t even cut a slice of meat from it. Veg was all very tasty and starts were brilliant. Service was slow but we weren’t in a rush.

Having visited The Pine Marten a long time ago it was refreshing to find everything was as good as on previous visits. It was the first visit for our daughters and granddaughters who were as impressed as we were. The reason for the visit was to celebrate our daughters birthday. Thank you we had a great afternoon with excellent food and service.

The pine marten is my favourite place to go for Sunday lunch Lovely decor and friendly staff and nice food My only complaint was that my food was cold and this is not the first time this has happened. Other than that a lovely meal

We returned to this restaurant as it has always been a good place to meet and have a meal with family. The food today was very disappointing while the meat was generous the roast potatoes and roast veg were hard and the all the roast meals were served without a drop of gravy. When we asked for gravy a single serving was provided for 4 meals. Cold custard served with a hot pudding? The menu prices would indicate that food quality would be tip top but sadly not.
