We were both delighted with our meals.. The food quality was superb and the staff were very warm and welcoming. Would definitely recommend the Plymouth Arms.

Initial reaction to the condition of table we were given was, ‘oh my goodness’ hoping that the food didn’t match the state of the table however, the food was excellent, with the exception of the excessive amount of rosemary over the mushroom starter, once removed the taste was great, the pie, fish, pork and burger were excellent. Would def recommend this pub for the food and service, the waiter (didn’t take a name but he had long hair) was very pleasant and very accommodating, give start time him as well

Lovely decor and very comfortable BUT service was awful. We had to ask for our food order to be taken and then we waited almost an hour for our meal to arrive. The excuse was that because one out of our group of four had had a starter, that delayed the main course. Same on the table next to us. They waited over an hour.

A wonderful meal , very enjoyable with crispy chips and very good service. A friendly pub , will visit again . Very clean and homely and a little dog that entertained us !

I chose The Plymouth for my birthday lunch as there was a couple of vegetarian options. However I was disappointed when on reading the menu in the restaurant that the curry which was on line was not available at all. I was left to choose between a burger or a pizza. I don’t think this is much of a choice. As it happens I was able to combine a starter with a few side dishes which was very tasty. However I really think in todays climate that more vegetarian or vegan options should be available which may result in more customers.

We booked an early table so there were not many people in the restaurant. Excellent service and food - would recommend! The food was delivered promptly and was the experience was most enjoyable.
