Excellent food, excellent service, very nice atmosphere. Fish and chips were the best we've had anywhere.

I dont think the food is as good as it used to be. I nearly broke a tooth on the pastry because it was so hard.

Booked a table here as somewhere close to Loughborough Uni and wanted a venue to take my son to that wasn’t in the town centre. Overall it was a pleasant experience but the food was quite expensive for what it was and the staff were efficient but not overly friendly/welcoming. Not rude or anything, just a bit impersonal and brisk. Food was nice. We had the chicken (moist and flavoursome), gammon (bit salty), classic burger and halloumi burgers, then three desserts (nice but overpriced at £6.95 each).

There was a board outside offering one course for, two courses for and three courses for but that is only for lunchtimes, surely this should be taken in for the evening. It was very busy and there were not enough waiters/waitresses on duty. We were ignored by your manager who took an order for food in the bar, she walked away and took knives and forks to that person in the bar and left the bar unattended. We had to wait more than half an hour to order and our second round of drinks did not arrive untilwe asked where they were. Another half an hour wait to see if we would like to order a dessert

Have eaten here before. Food always good and service. On this occasion however we were told that 5 of the main dishes were not available. It was only 730pm so was slightly disappointed What we ate was good but it wouldn’t have been my choice. Service was good but we weren’t offered any water or further drinks or coffee after the meal

Beautiful restaurant- food was absolutely exceptional! It was valentines and very busy but service was still brilliant. There is a wait for the food but it clearly states on the menu that food is freshly prepared - so it’s totally worth it!. New favourite restaurant.

The food was enjoyable and reasonable priced. Staff were polite and helpful but they were run off their feet. We waited 20 mins for a drink & menus. Another 20 for our main. 45 mins for dessert menu. Other diners left without dessert. Took the edge off things. Not enough staff to deal with the demand.

Disappointing meal. My wife ordered chicken breast and ham hock in creamy sauce. When it arrived the chicken breast was fine, but when we asked where the hock was the waiter pointed to three tiny strips of red meat. There were eight peas, and six very thin slices of potatoes. All this was swimming in cream. When we told the waitress she said this was the way they did things. To sum up, there was not enough vegetables, or ham hock, and should not be smothered in a very thin sauce. Which seemed to be warmed up single cream, not a sauce.

AMAZING! We had excellent food & service We shared a starter and 3 small plates between 3 hungry adults and then had a main course each, unfortunately no room for pudding. We will be returning next time we visit Loughborough University

The staff were very friendly and helpful but the food was extremely disappointing. We came for breakfast and I have been before. I had a full breakfast and to be quite honest I was unsure what the bacon was. It initially came out and it seemed boiled and uncooked. I initially had a small amount but it was dreadful and had to send it back. The eggs were poached as requested but very wet. My friend had eggs Benedict and again the eggs were poor and she left a lot of them. It was a shame as I have been before and it has been lovely but unfortunately not this time. I have said no below for breakfast.

Really enjoyed our visit! With their being 5 of us really pleased at being given a roundtable which meant no-one was stuck on the end! 5 different dishes ordered & all enjoyed. For 4 out of 5 of us it was a first time visit & all said they would love to come again.
