8/10The menu is quite basic, but the food is nice. The service was good. There isn't much of an ambience to talk about, which is usually the case with hotel restaurant. Overall I'd say it was a decent experience.

7.5/10Service was brilliant. The food was nice. We ordered tomato soup, barley salad, fish and chips, fish cake and chocolate tart. Quiet restaurant. Atmosphere could have been better.

8/10A lovely restaurant with great food & attentive service. A couple of dishes weren’t available which was a shame but there were plenty of other dishes to choose from. A quiet place to eat as it wasn’t husy, only us for most of the time but that didn’t bother us. Definitely visit again and recommend to others

3/10Confusion with our booking, they thought we were cancelled. Staff were very uninterested and inattentive - they even served a beer to my heavily pregnant friend. We were the only guests, and placed in the corner in the coldest room ever. They put the heaters on which made too much noise (it was obviously broken) - no foresight to turn it on before service . Food took an extremely long time to come, and when it it a lot of it was cold or even undercooked. Even my meal was meant to have carrots, and it was served with three tiny slices. Absolutely never again, it was embarrassing and I felt so bad for my friends who travelled 2 hours to see me.

7/10The waitress explained that they only had one chef on duty so there were some delays with our meal but she and her fellow waiter were very good and helpful and the meal was very good too. The restaurant itself I would say could do with brightening up in some way because it had loads of potential for good lighting and interior design features - and oh for some colour! It was all too ‘brown’!

9/10The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. The 50% off mains was a bonus! The restaurant was quiet because it is off the beaten track but very close to Leicester Square, Charing Cross etc so easy to get to. Definitely worth a visit - if only for the steak and ale pie!

9.5/10We arrived and were made to feel welcome straight away by the receptionist our rooms were ready and very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and were very pleased by the standard and the service. On leaving next morning, my granddaughter eas given a little gift bag including a water bottle she was delighted. So thank you to the staff of Thistle Trafalgar Sq. David Wilding

9.5/10Very handy if you stay in the hotel, it saves you wandering round the city finding somewhere to eat. Food was very nice, service was very good by staff.

8.5/10The food is excellent for its value. The staff is impeccable, attentive to details and very nice. The management just needs to decorate the place adequately to make it feel cosy and attractive as it should. It is a cold and impersonal place even at Christmas. A shame considering the efforts of the staff and how nice they are.

7/10Seated quickly. Drinks came out fast. Waiter hovered the while time we were eating which was off putting. Food was adequate, would have been very unhappy if we hadn't had an offer.

A hidden gem just off Leicester Square.. away from the hustle and bustle of central London! The restaurant was empty when we arrived so not really atmospheric but joyous to be somewhere quiet! The food was delicious and good value .. there were a few items missing from the food we ordered with no explanation until we queried it and were told they had run out! That was a bit disappointing but overall a very nice meal and would go again.

4/10The food was really disappointing. Husband says they were the worst nachos he has ever had, a few crisps with a bit of dip on the side. The chicken tikka wasn’t a chicken tikka more like a microwave meal and the burger was really greasy and the bacon was like it had been put in the microwave. We were the only ones in there and the service was pretty slow. Staff were friendly but we wouldn’t go back.
