6/10Sadly 1 of our starters was cold so they took it back never to bee seen again. After 40 minutes we said forget it just bring the mains which arrived with the wrong vegetables. a free glass of champers couldn't retrieve the situation. We sat next to an American lady who said it had been like this the whole week.

8/10Excellent food, drinks and waiting staff - only slight issue was delay especially at the start though this is probably due to pre-theatre diners....

8/10The waiter was awful, no information flow (asked whether we wanted desserts 3 times), no knife for cheese, cutlery was served just on the table, inappropriate talking from the waiter and so on. The food is good, the atmosphere is also very nice, but the service disappointed me a lot.

6.5/10The restaurant was nicely laid out but the ambience is a bit lacking. The service was good, if not exceptional - for instance we had to refill our wine glasses ourselves. But the major disappointment was the food which was average. It feels like the restaurant has a bit of a crisis identity, it wants to be classy because of the location and a gastropub, but fails to do well on either. If it chose one or the other it would be a lot clearer what this place is all about.

10/10Such a lovely vibe, great food and wonderful service. We were short on time due as we had a theatre booking, so they were super prompt and attentive to us. Lovely service, helping our indecision and offering helpful recommendations. Food was fantastic. Thank you for a lovely evening.

4/10I booked this as a special birthday lunch for my vegan friend, but the menu did not mark any of the dishes, so I thought we would ask our waiter; our waiter came to the table chewing gum; he didn't know the menu and what was vegan. We asked for the water to be refilled, but it wasn't, ask for the dessert menu, it never came. I had to go to the bar to ask for service and, sadly, decided to go elsewhere for dessert. I was very disappointed as this was a birthday lunch and we could have gone anywhere, but with this hotel we were expecting a better service. Regarding the atmosphere, there was a live DJ that started at noon, and it was deafening. We couldn't talk and catch up correctly. We asked for it to be turned down a little, so we could talk but this didn't happen either. So very disappointed on the whole experience and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, for the cost you can get better food, service and atmosphere anywhere else.

6.5/10The restaurant selection was a mistake. We were heading to an 8 pm show, and I used the internet to find a restaurant near the theatre. Bah! Our meals were tasty but the prices gave me heartburn and we left hungry. When a restaurant is described as a "gastro pub" and prices are shown as £26 to £40, one doesn't expect to pay over £60 pp (for a starter and a main) and still walk away hungry. My wallet said no to dessert. Had I been better prepared, I don't think the small plates and the hefty prices would have thrown me so badly. I was expecting but we were not offered the pre-theatre menu which was touted as: 3 Courses £34. Includes a glass of house wine.

7/10Overall the place was nice and the service was good but the Lobster was overpriced for just 1/2 of one (which they don’t say on the menu - it just says Lobster for £40) and the ravioli was also overpriced at £25 for only 5 small parcels. It was good but you can get a better meal for less down the street at Browns.

8.5/10This meal experience was very strange. The place is very cool and nicely decorated inside, but when we arrived we were the ONLY people in the place for a 7:30 dinner reservation. At about 9:00 one other table was seated, but that's it- no one else came in during our meal. Considering that, the food took a while to arrive but they may have just been allowing us to not feel rushed. The meals were done very well but the lack of any other diners between 7:30 and 9:30 on a Friday night was a little unsettling.

10/10We very much enjoyed the “Afternoon tea” at St.Martin’s Lane. A good mix of sweet and savory food delightfully presented. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Juliana, making sure all was to our satisfaction. It was a little expensive but a great treat if you are celebrating.

9/10The restaurant does not advertise itself from the street and is hidden away inside a hotel but it is well worth the finding. It is extremely convenient for several theatres. The room was very quiet during our early visit so atmosphere was lacking but the food was excellent and our server went out of her way to help us.

9.5/10Aneasy to miss restaurant and without knowing the street number, we would never have found it. It's actually part of a hotel, and even the frontage of that is understated. However, what a great place to eat! Very much in the nouveau cuisine guise, I was concerned that the small portions of what I call "pretty food" would leave me wanting. But no. The combination of flavours were amazing and although the portions were on the smaller side, I felt full after lunch.

9.5/10This was an excellent pre theatre menu. The food was superb and the service was fabulous. We both had cocktails followed by soup and cod. Will definitely visit again!
