10/10We were celebrating my mums 90th Birthday the food was fabulous the service was first class Although we were all to full up for a sweet the staff still bought out a plate with happy birthday and candles for us to sing happy birthday I would also like to say it was a lovely change to be able to order gluten free fish and chips a very rare choice

7.5/10I booked a table on line and was not made aware that we would be seated in the bar area and would have to order our food at the bar ourselves. Was expecting to be in restaurant area where we would have waiter service

10/10Great Host, Megan. fresh from her skinny dip in the sea to serving us with great humour. Just what I needed after a crap day. The food was delicious and Long Island Ice Tea's hit the spot! Looking forward to the August Robin Hood Festival 🍹🍺

6.5/10The fabric of the building looks very tired with little sign of TLC, to this old land mark of Clacton. Also it was cold inside. Service a bit slow but very polite and attentive. The food was good, although a tad expensive for the standard. Only 1 draught bitter available. We have been coming to this restaurant for some years and every time there at least 6 to 10 items N/A. On a restricted menu not good. Also shortage of teaspoons!

8/10Lovely place but service slow for 2 people with 2 courses . But the staff are friendly especially the man that saw us to our table - could have been the manager ! He worked so hard all night , serving tables , taking orders . Very impressed

6/10The pub itself was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The turkey dinner we had was a good size and tasted really nice but unfortunately was barely luke warm. There appeared to be hardly any staff working and the wait for food or drinks was long. We were given complimentary desserts to make up for the meal. A real shame as if the meal had been hot and the service had been better would have given this a top rating.

8/10I went for dinner with friends, we had to get our own menus, then we had to ask someone to come and take our order. We waited an hour for the starters. We had to ask for our mains and ordered dessert at the bar because we were running out of time before our cab was due. The service was very slow and not at sll satisfactory. The food, however, was excellent and well worth the wait.

6.5/10The restaurant was extremely hot. Outdoor temperature was 25 degrees. In the restaurant there were no windows we could open, no fans or air conditioning. We reserved a table in the restaurant but none were available so we had to sit in the bar. We were with family and this is our first meal at the venue. The food was very good, however, they ran out of one of the spirits so we had to change drinks half way through the evening. We would like to note the person behind the bar serving the drinks did apologise for the service we had received during our visit, stating this wasn't the service usually provided by the venue.

8.5/10Have been going to The Robin Hood for many years with family, always enjoy the meal and the staff polite and friendly. Yesterday the 29th was no exception despite staff shortages due to sickness and every table in the restaurant full the staff were still smiling

6.5/10Booked table for 2 for 1.30 on Saturday 29th January. Arrived at 1.20 to a hardly packed venue. Our drinks arrived within a few minutes, Starter after about half an hour. However we waited until 3pm for our mains of Lasagna and chips. Tables around us were also waiting. Our waitress did apologise a couple of times when we asked. But waiting an hour and half is just not acceptable and we will not be going back. The food however was really good so as it’s our local it’s very disappointing!

10/10The food was lovely and the service was very friendly. We were a party of 3 and we all had the salmon, which was very tasty and much enjoyed especially with a nice bottle of wine.

9/10Lovely food. Nice cosy place to eat. Very clean.. Only thing worth knowing.. Go to the bar when you arrive to book in. There is no sign to tell you. We were left over 10 minutes. Waiting at the beginning of the restaurant while staff looked at us then ignored us. Which was not good for us as my hubby has chronic fatigue and uses a stick. And we had to borrow a chair as he couldn't stand waiting.

8/10Very enjoyable meal. The only downside was no roast Turkey or Beef despite it being Sunday. How could you run out of these items?
