10/10Our first visit to the Salisbury, and we’re not disappointed. While the exterior is perhaps a tad dour, internally the building is very nicely appointed and comfortable. Service was friendly and the right pace for a relaxing meal. The food itself was first class, with one of our group saying the cod and chips being one of the best he had ever had! We walked from the centre of Edinburgh which took us around 40 minutes each way. A great way to build up an appetite and to walk off the ample portions!

4.5/10The welcome wasn’t great , and the waitress on had a bad attitude. We regretted it immediately,, She could not be bothered, and we didn’t feel welcome We asked for my sons cheeseburger ( from the adult menu ) to be plain. And it came fully garnished. He only ate half. I asked for a Negroni at the end of the meal , after waiting for 25 minutes I got up approached the bar to be told that they had ran out iof ingredients. We won’t be going back.

3.5/10I ordered a pizza, apparently that’s what I was served. Worst pizza ever, as thin as a ten pound note, dry and overcooked. Other food they served seemed to be ok though

10/10This restaurant is that good we visit it each time we hit Edinburgh. The food and service is really good. The pub also has a good atmosphere that also has a car park to us

9/10I have come to the Salisbury Arms many times over the years and never had any complaints. The food was excellent but the service was so so slow. Once seated and served drinks no-one came near us We had to ask if we could place an order for food. When the food came it was lovely and to your usual high standard, but again no-one came near. We finally ordered desert. My friend had to physically get up and find someone so that we could settle our bill. Twice! may I add. When the young lady came she apologised but said she had a hundred things to do .............

10/10We were in Edinburgh just for one night what is something within short walking distance found this wonderful little gem, staff were incredibly welcoming we arrived 20 minutes early which was no problem, service and prompt, food was hot and very tasty, almost à la cart, very well priced cannot recommend this place enough will definitely return our servers were angie and Rebecca

9.5/10Table service in place and tables well spaced so felt Covid secure. I had plant burger and asked for alterations to my order meal came exactly as I wanted it and it was really good . My husband had the beef filet salad the beef was tender and tasty A busy pub with friendly efficient staff .

10/10Venue chosen due to the variety of the menu as my wife is vegetarian, my daughter is vegan and i myself enjoy all food but even though there are numerous choices in Edinburgh the Salisbury Arms catered for all three of us without compromise. All the food choices that were made were excellent and all there preferences were catered for.

10/10We went for Father’s Day and there was a set menu. Good choices and good quality of food. Excellent value for money. Catered for gluten free well including offering a sticky toffee pudding where another option had run out. Very rare to get this kind of offer! Very nice atmosphere and well decorated so will definitely be back.
