2/10We were recommended to visit your restaurant, and now after doing so on Sunday 28/07/24 at 17.15 a table for 5 we really regret coming to you. Out of the 5 of us 3 were absolutely disgusted, 2 were Sunday Lunch and the other Fish & Chips. Firstly the Sunday Lunch were Luke warm and even worse once you started to eat below the surface Cool / Cold , I kept on looking all the time for a waitress in vain , and was Never asked if everything was ok with the meals, which is Normal on all restaurants I have ever used.. 2nd The fish / chip meal the fish looked like it had been cooked / heated up over and over again, on trying to cut it it splintered over the table so uneatable. So there we are 2 Sunday Lunches and fish / chip meals basically uneatable. I tried my best to force mine down with a drink. So eventually when the waitress came to remove the plates I complained and explained fully. She went away and came straight back offering to remove the fish meal. I am now out of space. Rob

8/10Have been here before as we love the ambience of the whole place. We came specifically for the Christmas menu this time. Food was lovely, although the pigs in blankets were a little dried out, and not sure you need a Yorkshire pudding on a turkey dinner...but all in all a very enjoyable meal and would defo return. Thank you

6/10I struggled with the menu as i am on a low carb diet and everything came with chips or potatoes. When i asked if i could have haloumi fries instead of chips the answer was no unless i paid for them. Chips on the menu were £2.95 and Haloumi £3.95. Instead of charging me the difference i got charged for both. The waitress said that i could have the haloumi then came back and said i couldn't but did i want the salad. In the end i just told her to bring me whatever. I have never been anywhere that didn't accommodate a request as simple as mine. I got steak, vine tomatoes and had to pick every stalk off the tomatoes and haloumi fries which by my reckoning were very dry.

6/10The meat in the pie was tough with pieces that were not eatable. My Sea Bass meal was cool to being too cool to eat. We shared this with the waiter on collecting the plates, did not see the waiter earlier, she said she would tell the Chef, when paying we were told she had not been able to speak to the Chef, that was disappointing, I should have sent my meal back.

5.5/10We arrived on time ordered drinks then waited almost an hour before anyone came to take our food order.Myself and granddaughter had pigs in blankets for starter which was disgusting they tasted like paint the rest of the food was just ok.disappointed to say the least

8.5/10The Sandpiper never fails to satisfy me. This time wasn't the usual experience though however, the slowness was explained as was the non-availability of puddings. So, although slightly disappointed on this experience, the young waiters made up for it by their honesty and I will be visiting again and continue to recommend it.

6.5/10Shown to our table right away. Drinks served at table which was good. Lunchtime menu gave a wide choice of dishes. We opted for sandwiches. Portions smaller than expected. Quality of food was good although garnishes were absent making the plate look very bland. Service was good. All in all pleasant enough experience that we’d return to try the main menu meals.

10/10One of our favourite stopping points between Liverpool and our home in West Yorkshire. We have met Dom and his team on a number of occasions, and yesterday we were very well looked after by "Jack" and her colleagues behind the bar; even our dog Lola was made to feel welcome. We both had the Fishcakes with lobster, but had no room for dessert. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Martin Sally & Lola Walker

10/10First time ate out since march last year due to covid. It is my birthday today so I was taken for a meal with hubby my daughter and her partner. I thoroughly enjoyed the food drinks and the seating area outside. So very pleasant were the staff too. Couldnt ask for better service. The food was lovely. I had sirloin steak. Cooked medium to perfection. We were all so pleased with our meals and desserts. Wine was quite pleasant too. A bottle of pinot grigio and Guinness etc etc. Ha. Hope to go there very soon again. Lovely grounds. Prices are reasonable. Added bonus. Cant wait to go back.thank you staff for a lovely pleasant time with yourselves. Lovely staff. X
