Went to The Savannah as a Valentine's treat as we had a Virgin Experience gifted to us. The food and service was excellent - staff were very attentive and the steak was cooked perfectly. My only qualms were that the chips portion was very small! Also my starter was not hot when it came out (Lobster tortellini) but still tasted nice. I was surprised at this as the restaurant was not busy at all when we visited. Finally, we did feel that we had been sneakily charged for water for the table, as when asked if we wanted water, we assumed it was tap water, then faced a £5 charge! Not ideal as we wanted to enjoy the experience without additional charges, seeing as it was a gift. Overall, The Savannah is a nice restaurant and I had a good experience. Staff were very accommodating when we were late for our reservation due to trains and stormy weather!

We arrived early and our table wasn't ready so had some cocktails in the bar, however no one let us know when our table was ready. We asked a few minutes after our reservation time and the very nice bar staff found out for us. We were then told when we went to our table that afternoon tea was only available until 5pm even though we booked a table for 5.30pm and specified afternoon tea. Thankfully they were able to accommodate us anyway and did a very quick turnaround around for us. This was very much appreciated as it was a birthday meal and we didn't have too much time. The waiting staff were very accommodating. The food and tea was pretty good, some items were better than others but on the whole not too bad for the price.

when I got in I did expect much from the food. We went for an offer 3x25£ and I think it was a quite good value for what you get. Starter and main were delicious, dessert was ok. Service was also good. Could improve the interior and ambiance and also, the table cloth had a massive stain in the middle.

Food of high quality but wine vastly overpriced, even for London. Reservation in restaurant cancelled without informing me. Poor customer service.

The menu had lots of choice. We struggled to narrow our choices down. We all had different meals and agreed they were all delicious. I had seafood linguine and the balance of seafood to pasta was perfect. It was really good value for money. The waiter who served us was friendly and helpful but gave us the space to enjoy our food and didn’t try to “up sell” by offering us endless extras. I was very impressed and will certainly return. I would recommend it.

Nice food and good service. The restaurant became very cold though and we had trouble flagging anyone down for the bill when it was time to go. Having said that I would give Savannah another try.

My family and I, (wife and our kids, aged 21 and 19) went for a meal here last Friday night and we really enjoyed it. We went for the Burger and a pint deal which was very good value as we got a burger, chips and a pint for £12.50. We were served by a lovely woman who was very courteous and polite and couldn't do enough for us as we specified a lot of changes, i.e. I didn't want the mushrooms or blue cheese with my burger, so she suggested putting cheddar on instead, My daughter wanted cheesy chips, my son didn't want anything on his chicken burger and we also got a bottle of wine. So the fella's of the party got a burger and 2 pints, and the ladies got a burger and a nice rose. It was a nice setting, and very good value for London I thought.

We arrived after attending a conference and were able to sit and have a drink before we went to our table for dinner. The welcome was warm and we all enjoyed the experience. The food was well presented and the environment attractive. Service was also good.

Disappointing. Service was slow and offhand. Food wasn't brilliant either. Not sure how it claims its sustainable status. Not much evidence of sustainability in the bar /restaurant furnishings etc.

The web site promised so much because it talks about a modern dining experience with an ethical core and sustainability. There is absolutely nothing about this in the menu or any literature in the restaurant at all. The table I was allocated was pleasant enough but the chair was a large arm chair and not really great for eating in. The service was slow and we had to ask for our order to be taken even though there were only four tables occupied. The food was good but overall I was a little disappointed. I'd go back if more was made of the ethical stance of the hotel during the dining experience. If you need to meet near Euston Station - this is not a bad place though!

Went here for a work lunch with 2 colleagues. It was strange - the branding and ethos seemed completely different to the website, the restaurant design, the menu, none of it seems to match the look and feel of the website. It felt like a hotel restaurant - the bright white walls, no windows, quite a sterile environment. The food was nice, the chicken burger didn't come with chips or salad which was a surprise so my colleague finished her meal very quickly and then had something else when we got back to the office. The other two of us had the club sandwich which was very tasty and in fact so generous we couldn't eat it all. I don't think we'd necessarily rush back as it was quite strange, nice food but a disappointment compared to the ethos suggested by the lovely website.

Was a lovely restaurant. Food was great. Only issue was waitresses kept rushing over to move us onto the next course or to take drinks order etc. Experience felt rushed. I don’t like to be disturbed while I’m catching up with an old friend I haven’t seen for a few years and it can be off putting when waitresses keep coming up to you to prompt / ask if you’re ready for the next meal etc. It did make me think twice about going there again. The restaurant was not busy either and there didn’t appear to be a time restriction stated on my reservation. Shame, as it would have got a better review from me if it wasn’t for the service.
