10/10Fabulous pub, wish it was my local. Staff were so attentive. The food was perfect,started with scallops and mushrooms in a cream sauce. Followed by beautiful roast beef, cooked perfectly, as were all the sides. Desserts were perfect too. Could have stayed there all evening a relaxing pub with very comfortable vibes.

10/10We went for the history of the pub and found wonderful staff and great food…… Everything was fabulous! We would definitely come again and highly recommend.

8.5/10We throughly enjoyed our first visit to the Sheep Heid, except for the extended wait for 3 portions of your delicious fish and chips. We decided that someone had to go and catch the fish!

8.5/10We loved the food at Sheep’s Heid. Both the scallop and the lightly battered squid starters were perfect as were the pork cheek and sea bass mains. Prices were very reasonable. Our server was helpful with our order but then disappeared. We had to seek out service in main restaurant twice. It was explained they were very short staffed. We chose to eat in the pleasant back courtyard because of COVID caution but encountered a lot of smoking mid-meal. Recommend the restaurant but eat inside if smoking is an issue.

10/10About a 15 minute taxi ride from the train station. The oldest pub in Scotland. Wonderful feel, friendly staff, good seating and terrific food. Made for a memorable evening.

7.5/10Lovely staff. Calimari and pate starters were very good as was fish and chips though Prawn languini was very oily and the garlic was uncooked.
