The pub was quiet. This didn't distract from its charm. The staff were welcoming and followed all Covid guidelines. We will return to sample more of getting varied menu. Its near to some forest walks

We have used the Silent Woman for many times over the years. There is now a new owner, Sunday lunch food was good however, four dogs alloed into the restaurant not good when at one time loud barking heard. The service was poor waiting ages for the next course eventually went and asked, a member of staff when I asked for the bill said he would go and ask, yet when the bill came I was asked if it was me as the staff member did not know the table numbers. Good food reasonably priced, when the service staff nimbers are increased, or the two memebers for a Sunday Lunchtime are replaced or trained, the Silent Woman will hopfully return to it's previous levels of service.

A lovely country pub down the road from the caravan site where we were staying . We felt happy with the anti-covid measures. The food was excellent and the service was both efficient and friendly . Thank you :).

Danielle and her team were brilliant. Excellent service and the food was great. Had the duck salad, delicious full of flavour. My partner had the homemade beef burger, again tasty. The atmosphere is more relaxed that what it used to be. Definitely will be back. Good luck Danielle.

I was not impressed with the some of the food. Ie fish cakes, 2 small? Long wait for mains? Staff very pleasant, and helpful. Considering the situation the evening was ok.

Great welcome and service. Food was very average and arrived far to quickly for it to have been freshly cooked. We ate it all because we were hungry and caravanning close by. Over priced for this type of meal. Although the booking was accepted we were told they don’t usually serve after 6 pm on a Sunday so perhaps the reheater had gone home. Sorry to give a poor review of the food because the staff tried really hard.

Very warm welcome and friendly staff but service was awful. New staff maybe for newly owned business. Nearly everything we asked for was delivered slightly wrong. Nothing major but lots and lots of little mistakes and final staw was 30 minute wait for bill and payment machine (has to ask 3 times for the bill!)

This place is useless. Waited forty minutes for food. On complaining were told they thought we’d eaten. Were then told one of the orders wasn’t available. Clearly hadn’t put it in to start with. Half hearted apologies and lame excuses but no recompense offered. Don’t bother, lots of nicer eateries with infinitely better customer service in the local vicinity.

Lovely food and very helpful member of staff. Made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely hidden garden if the weather is nice.

Restaurant was very cold and had to sit with coats on even though we were told heating would be on. We were sat around a corner and felt a bit out of it and think we were forgotten several times. Food was pretty good although a bit unusual choices.

The food was excellent the only slight negative was it took a long time to deliver once ordered, it was however very tasty and hot. We also took advantage of the 50% off food offer, note you must book a table to take advantage, unsure why unbooked parties cannot.

On arrival we were greeted warmly. We were served drinks promptly. We ordered 2 roast dinners that were absolutely delicious as was the dessert. The only down side was we had to wait what seemed to be a long time for our lunch, but other than that we enjoyed our lunch.
