Kitchen didnt open untill 6:30
We did enjoy our afternoon tea, however, we didn’t expect to be sat on sofas in the foyer. It is a thoroughfare and not a particularly nice environment to relax at afternoon tea. A table in a room would have been much nicer.
Nice ambience and delicious food An enjoyable Valentines evening
Afternoon tea really nice, staff were lovely, decorations were great, would recommend.
Enjoyable girls lunch. The menu catered for various dietary needs. Excellent atmosphere and attentive staff.
We had a lovely afternoon tea her for my mother-in-law's 50th birthday. The food was really good. Could have done with a bit more tea. We were topped up once but they didn't come and do it again after that.
Excellent service and food
Food was above average. We had breakfast and stayed right through to lunch. Two bottles of champagne, set between their stunning gardens. My daughter ran around the huge grounds while my wife and I relaxed and took in the first day of August
A really lovely dining/bar area, spacious, comfortable seating and relaxing lighting. Absolutely excellent and friendly service. The cheese and onion tart with pickled walnuts was delicious as was the slow roasted shin of beef. I will definitely be going back.
The visit was more than I was expecting.Great location, great atmosphere and amazing food
Myself and a few work colleagues came along for a 50th Birthday Afternoon Tea celebration We sat in the tastefully decorated cosy lounge area with a background of soft piano music The service was impeccable as were the delicious array of sandwiches and the bountiful selection of beautifully made cakes Absolutely delicious Thoroughly recommend
Missed cucumbers sandwiches and egg and cress sandwiches. Couldn’t work out soup ?? For afternoon tea nor like high tea. But basically it was lovely food was good.
We had afternoon tea. The staff were exceptionally attentive and the food and it’s presentation was beautiful.
It was an excellent lunch and a very enjoyable experience.
I booked an afternoon tea for my mother and her friend as a birthday treat at The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells. I know she was really looking forward to this experience but to be honest was disappointed. The food was perfect but the little finishing touches that make these occasions special were definitely lacking. Beautiful white linen tablecloth on a table that was far too large for four people, meaning we had to “sit up” rather than relax in order to chat without shouting! No table decorations, a little vase of flowers would have been nice. The service was shocking for a large, so called reputable hotel. I was quite embarrassed and very disappointed. We had to ask for lemon to accompany the Earl Grey tea and then had to remind when it didn’t arrive. Our cutlery was taken and not replaced so again we had to ask for knives for the scones. On both occasions the waitresses were not present and we had to wait. I’m sorry to say I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for afternoon tea.
An excellent Sunday lunch with good food very well presented. We always enjoy the starched linen tablecloths and napkins and the good service. We have not been disappointed yet!
Overall good however we were served in the orangery rather than reception area which is micer as the orangery lacks atmosphere and is too personal when there are only a few people in the room. Not sure wjy we were not served in reception area. Took a good 15 mins after our arrival to get seeved as well. However tea, sandwiches and cakes were all deliciois and enjoyable. Would have liked a bigger teapot but it was refilled when required so not sn issue
