It’s very good, in terms of food quality, the ambiance, the service and even the location. The serveurs are attentive, polite and the chef’s warm salad is by far the best dish for London’s weather!! Highly recommend!

Fantastic Pub with Great Food & Atmosphere! I love this pub! It has a great atmosphere, delicious food, and fast, friendly service. I’ve been here a few times for Sunday brunch, and the roast beef is absolutely the best. Highly recommend!

We returned a week later so I could try the steak and kidney pie. It was nice but too many kidneys inside for me, the steak is nice but some gravy on the side would have improved the overall dish I'd say. My boyfriend had the fish and chips and now that had me wanting to return to try that instead! Yet again! Lol. We will now take our time over the year to try out the rest of the menu, nice to have found a Gastropub that works well for us.

A very nice lunch at a quiet gastropub. There was a mistake in the Fork/Stablehand listing, where the Fork had a set menu with 3 courses, the server informed me that it was for 2 courses. To the server’s credit, I was offered 3 courses for the same price as the listed price which I said was not necessary, however the drink I asked for was not charged. The food came quickly and was very nice, perfect spot for lunch. I will come back again.

The friendly informative and timely service, the yummy food, our intimate table next to the open log, pretend, fire! Simply a lovely moment of joy for our first time there together on a freezing cold day in central London. Shakira was particularly lovely and catered to our needs, patient with our questions on what to drink and recommended great choices too! We will certainly return for the lamb shoulder and signature steak pie simply delicious as was all the food really. Just go dine you won't regret it :))

We came for a post-concert supper (easy walk from St. James’s Sussex Gardens, and later kitchen hours than many) and did well. A nice, high-end pub dining room with high ceilings and classic Stubbs paintings on the walls. Cheerful service, sometimes a bit distracted. Appealing menu - we enjoyed nicely-cooked scallops and chalk stream trout, ham hock terrine (excellent chutney with it) and bubble and squeak, then bread-and-butter pudding. If I have a cavil, it’s that the starter and dessert portions seemed rather small for the prices (or the prices large for the portions) and I’m always sorry when places serve scallops without their coral - but I know some do prefer all-white. A treat for my daughter, which was what we really wanted.

Great service but awful food, the roast barely had any taste, tiny portions for the price. We were fortunate we had yums to use otherwise I’d have sent it back

We had a wonderful experience at the pub! Shakira was absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome. She served a delicious lunch, and the Sunday roast was exceptional – perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The atmosphere here is always fantastic, warm, and inviting.
