The Stage is the hotel's lobby bar: the staff are friendly and the cocktails are excellent. The service is unhurried (they didn't try to rush people out at all, and many of the tables seated around the same time as us were there for most of the afternoon). If you're on a deadline, you might want to tell them that up-front. During afternoon tea, they have live music which gives the area more atmosphere. Depending on where you are seated, this can be loud - it didn't bother us but some of our neighbours commented on it. We had booked afternoon tea with a discount and they'd already applied this when they brought out the bill.

I booked my staff an afternoon tea only to arrive and find out we didn't have a booking and was too late for afternoon tea. I am super annoyed. we were looking forward to the afternoon tea experience and so super disappointed. The manager tried to offer tea and cake but I had just paid a cab fare of almost £60 to be there. not happy.

We had a very fine afternoon tea at the Londoner hotel. The sandwiches, the tea, scones and cakes were exceptional (I especially loved the strawberry and lemon curds - next level!) The service was also excellent. Our only slight negative point is that we were in a busier part of the front of the lobby, and might have preferred to be in a quieter area further back. Highly recommended and very reasonably priced compared to other high-end hotels.
