8/10Table booked for 7.15 but when we arrived they hadn’t got the booking even though I had an email and text message to remind us of the booking! Not impressed because I specifically requested a quiet table as one of our party has Alzheimer’s . They did find a table for the 4 of us eventually but not what we wanted. The table has been booked for weeks so why hadn’t they got the booking? However, our waitress was lovely and so was the food. I will not book through the online site again as can’t be certain it is actually booked even though I had an email confirming it.

10/10We have driven past this restaurant many times and have only fairly recently tried it out. We were not disappointed. A lovely meal in a good location, particularly in the summer with the views.

10/10A delightful pre- Christmas evening, even though super busy service was excellent. The food was well presented, beautifully cooked with good attention to detail. We chose from the main menu which contained dishes that were not the usual pub fare which was very refreshing.

9/10Very good food and our table overlooking the gardens was charming My only reservation is that the welcome could be more inviting as we had to wait to be acknowledged even though there were staff especially bar staff around us Overall our dining experience was good, our waitress was excellent and friendly Would definitely go back Thank you

4.5/10The Chicken Forestiere was awful, dry and really unedible but we were in a slight rush and was hungry. It seemed the best choice on the small menu. Chelsea our waitress went above and beyond to look after us. We tipped her well.

10/10We all loved the new look of the swallows nest. Beautifully decorated giving it a lovely feel. The staff were great attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious and really well presented. Lots of choice too. So good we are booking again for next month. Thank you.

5.5/10Disappointing visit after hearing good things.Starter of dipping Camembert was £15.00 - came with 6 halves of bread and no chutney as advised. Had to ask for the chutney by which stage the cheese had gone hard - not a great start to the meal and definitely not worth the 1£15.00 paid. Beef dinner - Most of the beef had giant pieces of fat going through it. Trio of meat - pork was dry / beef fatty - chicken was nice. £80.00 for Sunday dinner, won't be returning any time soon.

10/10As always the food, ambiance and staff at this cosy village restaurant were fabulous. We had a selection of meals all of which were well presented and tasted delicious. Selection of drinks and service with a smile made for an excellent night out. We shall be back again soon .

10/10I went there last night with 10 others my sister her husband my nephews and nieces the food was lovely. The only thing I’d object to is that they add on a service charge which was quite a lot of money that’s the only thing I would say is bad

10/10We so enjoyed our first venture out since Covid lockdown. The Staff were superb and the food excellent, we shall be making regular returns, hopefully with family members.

9/10Nice welcoming feel to the pub,fabulous views from the terrace.The menu is fairly extensive so something for everyone basic pub food perfect for a relaxed lunch with friends.The staff were really friendly and helpful. Will go again.

9/10Lovely setting for our ladies lunch. Sat outside where there were beautiful views. There are options to sit in full sun, under huge parasols, or nestled in amongst the trees...something for everyone. Service was faultless; being served by a lovely young man (with curly hair) who couldn't have looked after us better. Food was good and great drinks choice, including some lovely cocktails. Would thoroughly recommend.
