Visit was to meet up with family and see our new Great Granddaughter for the first time. We were made very welcome and extra room for the pram. There was no rush to order or time limit on our visit which was perfect. The food was very good and lots of choice.

Felt somewhat disappointed in the choice of menu. I'd like to see more exciting salads please. Whilst it was a Saturday, I would have loved a chicken roast. Decor is nice, clean. Toilets could do with a smell deodoriser. Lovely location.

Food was very good when it finally came although the young lady did apologise for the wait. The ladies toilets although were clean seemed to have a not very nice smell, not sure whether it was drains. Staff were very pleasant and friendly.

This restaurant is very welcoming, it has a nice relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is very good and well presented. Also it has a good sized car park.

The pub was really nice. Staff nice. Food not so good , very expensive for the food we received. Frozen chips fish and peas I beer 1 tea nearly £40. It’s doubtful I would go there again..

When we ate at The Talbot, the food was very good. However, dogs are now accepted in the dining room. If I had known this, I would not have gone there. Also there were a couple of ladies in the corner smoking vapes. I thought both these would have and should have been banned in the dining area. I certainly won't be eating their again.

The staff was so lovely and professional, especially the waitresses. The cleanliness and atmosphere were spot on. However, the roasts we ordered were an issue. We ordered 3 turkey roasts and none of us enjoyed them. The turkey was nice but the veg was underseasoned/unseasoned, the parsnips were chewy and the roasties were not crispy. The stuffing wrapped in bacon tasted strange to me. We all left a lot of food on our plates. Have eaten other food here that was not roast related which was very good so we were surprised.

Such a shame, this place could be amazing but the food was so poor it was unbelievable how they could even send it out. By far the worst meal I've ever had. Staff saw the food when it came out & were highly apologetic but they shouldn't have to be. It shouldn't be that bad to start with. Really really bad.

Nice staff, meal what you would expect from a chain, not home cooking. Service very slow Don't like the way customers are almost forced to go to a table on entering if eating. They don't like you ordering drinks at the bar but when ushered to your table you can wait quite a while for service and a first drink.

Fantastic setting, cosy inside, however there were candles on the table, which required asking a member of staff to light. Staff member quite vacant to surroundings and customers. Stated she would come back to light it following her taking the food order, but never came back to light the candles. There was a party of 7. Food did not come at the same time, therefore some had to wait before eating so we could eat together. Most dishes were warm and not hot. In fact one meal was sent back, as when it arrived it was not hot but aired. However this was instantly changed when raising the problem and the staff member was very apologetic. Having received the bill at the end of the night, we discovered the initial disinterested staff member had added someone else’s food bill onto ours! Going to the bar I thought would be problematic because there was quite a few people waiting, and only one member of staff at the bar. However the one member of staff recognised myself as a diner that evening, and I was served quite quickly.

You support Good dishes and poor dishes. Salmon, Chicken pie, steak and ale, Gammon are tasty and good. Your recently introduced Lobster fishcake falls short of expectation and rated very poor. The fishcake is very small; does not contain any recognisable meat,( not even a claw), tastes of M&S mush and at £3 + vat per cake is ridiculously expensive. Snob value only. I also found it difficult even confusing to check whether the bill was correct after 33% discount for food was made. Not good.
