Had Sunday lunch at the tawny owl, very disappointing, both meals were cold so sent back, although quickly remind by pouring hot gravy all over meals the roast potatoes were unedible, hard to cut into and after we managed to do that they tasted sour, not nice. Can't fault the service though.

Greeting and waitress service really welcoming and helpful. Eve was a great listener as she served us. Drinks and food served smoothly and promptly. Camembert starter sparse and side salad limited. Otherwise good honest food reasonably priced. Thank you.

We five of us all greatly enjoyed our meal at the attractive Tawny Owl. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient. We sat at a table in a quiet corner, well distanced from others, which suited us well.

Food as good as always . Service excellent , attentive but not intrusive. Lovely surroundings .Food is well priced . Love the option of mini pudding and hot drink at the end of a meal. What more could you want .

The style and decor of the pub is beautiful. We went early lunchtime, so there weren’t many guests meaning very little atmosphere. It was very chilly inside, but this was probably due to windows being open because of Covid. The meal was gorgeous, with fresh ingredients. Price point about right for homemade.

Felt distinctly uncomfortable as gentleman on next table coughed constantly throughout the. meal. As an 81 year old should have asked to be moved for my own safety but did not have the confidence to do so

I must have been out of sorts. I didn’t enjoy the roast dinner and seemed to be slightly chilled. My friend Mavis seemed to enjoy it but her niece and husband didn’t comment but ate everything on their plates, which I didn’t do.
