2/10Although I had booked three weeks earlier for 10 people, there were only 2 waiters on duty and they were run off their feet. Good service just was not possible and I felt sorry for them as they tried their best. We waited an hour for the starters, another hour for the mains and didn't have time for any deserts. The only things on the menu were obviously dishes that could be thawed and cooked, not even a steak was available. We have been here before with good service all round so what on earth has happened? where are the chefs that used to be there? The place was more than half empty and we could not in all honesty recommend the restaurant to anyone. it looks like it is becoming a self fulfilling prophesy of empty places. What a way to treat your staff when they are front line and have to spend all the time apologizing. They did their absolute best for us but we still had an awful experience for our Golden Wedding. We asked for and got a reduction in the bill but the damage was done.

8/10Three mains dishes were very good, sea bass and the lasagne. The fish and chips were disappointing, The fish was overcooked, dry and chewy whilst the chips were soggy and undercooked.

10/10The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and well presented. We were able to chat and catch up in spite of the restaurant being nearly full. It seemed a happy atmosphere in the pub.

5.5/10Took my Dad to his local restaurant for his birthday today he has fish & chips which was good, unfortunately my son & I chose Prawn linguine apparently a new dish to the menu. I can honestly say the worst meal I have ever had at the Three Legged. I gave feedback to waitress who told me they have had other complaints but menu controlled by HQ. I didn’t really understand this as surely any chef would check the taste of food leaving the kitchen? Anyway I was told that they are trying to take it off the menu which didn’t really help us today & so disappointing. The waitress took our coffees & a dessert off our bill as compensation. I actually think we should have had our main courses take. Off our bill but I didn’t want to cause an issue & upset my Dad. I will go back to Three Legged as I know this is not the usual standard but I felt I needed to write this review.

5/10Choosing Sunday Roast for a 2.45 lunch was a mistake, as it was obviously prepared for mid day presentation and had become a little tired by 3.pm. The quality of the food was fine, but when served the broccoli was cold and the meat was beginning to become over cooked. We specifically asked for a window table, but were taken to a centre room table, which we declined and were then offered a suitable window table. Having chosen a local restaurant, I was annoyed to find that the booking system was run by an outside organisation, and have been constantly pestered with annoying emails from the Fork organisation. I now wish to cease any contact with the fork organisation Please unsubscribe me from your mailing list.

10/10An enjoyable evening, we were looked after very well by our friendly, pleasant waitress. The meals were very good, well cooked and enjoyable. There were more people in the restaurant than have been recently when we’ve been so a lovely atmosphere also.

10/10We have used this pub several times before and looked forward to our visit for my 79th birthday treat , and we were not disappointed. The food was good , well presented , well served and timely. The staff were very pleasant and attentive , and took time to take our complicated order and get it right ! Drinks were timely and re-orders were no trouble and well served . Overall the prices were reasonable , we will certainly be using this pub again .

4/10We were entertaining friends from Yorkshire who requested we revisit the restaurant which we ate in last time they were here … namely Three Legged Cross. How disappointed we all were with the food. The batter on the fish was not nice the chips tasteless and the Pizzas very bland. Also noticed that the pub could do with some TLC to the inside and the gardens which were beautiful once upon a time. Please bring it back to its original pleasant atmosphere and great food.

4/10I really looked forward to visiting. We were late and I apologised but felt this was not accepted. Our roasts were cold and the beef had a lot of tough fat on it. I have to cut up my special needs 18year olds dinner, the gristle on both our beef was a lot. Sadly a bit disappointed.

6.5/10They had run out of both the staters we tried to order. There was limited main courses and the coffee machine ha broken 2 days ago and so no hot drinks after the meal. In all a disappointing visit. Staff were good but with so much missing what could they do.

10/10Three Legged Cross is our restaurant of choice - we always had good service - good food and is both warm and comfortable. We would highly recommend it
