3.5/10Service unbelievably slow took 45 min before order was taken another couple gave up and left even after having a conversation with server about how long they waited. When the food arrived childrens meal was overheated so baked beans were dried , one of the mains had very overcooked egg like rubber sent it back 10 min later it came back with better egg but rest of dinner had been left under heater so was dried out. Very disappointing meal.

8/10Food good, service good, pleasant surroundings. However, coffee served was lukewarm only and this spoilt the meal. Explanation given about technical difficulties in producing hot coffee but this is disappointing.

5/10Disappointing. Sunday menu very limiting with many club classics missing. Also, several items were unavailable. Roast turkey was clearly the end of the lunchtime serving. Fish and chips o.k. but chips tasteless. Will avoid Vintage Inns on a Sunday in future.

10/10Excellent service , great food , and a high speed EV charger in the car park! The manager and entire staff couldn’t have been more friendly and customer focused. Nice one !

9.5/10Really enjoyed my meal at The Turnpike. The food was good, lovely setting and staff were friendly and checked if we had any food allergies before we ordered our meal. My friends really like this pub so we will be booking again.

8/10We have dined there on several previous occasions. This time we were slightly disappointed that some basic dishes were unavailable. For instance, Chicken Caesar Salad was off because they had no lettuce !

9/10We have been to this restaurant for many years and this last visit was the best food experience our party have had. One distraction was the continuous loud noise from the all-male party who were not eating and sat at a table near the door.

5/10We ate on a Sunday evening and nearly half the menu was unavailable. The food that was on the menu was overpriced and the skewers were not substantial enough for an adult meal

8.5/10The food and service were brilliant. We visited as a group of friends, between Christmas and New Year, it was the perfect place for us to catch up and chat. So we rebooked for 17th February to do the same. Sadly the live saxaphone playing made it impossible to hold a conversation. It was too loud and far more than background music.

10/10Excellent service by polite and helpful staff, good quality of food and varied menu. One problem was communication between the restaurant and booking company which led to confusion about the booking; the booking company confirmed on line booking, e mail then received from Amber Inns cancelling booking, then confirmation received saying table was ready. This will lead to loss of revenue and dissatisfied customers if not corrected.

9.5/10Myself and my friend visited newly refurbished Turnpike. They have done a really good job on the decor and it feels warm and welcoming. The food was delicious and service really good. We will be going back again very soon with some other friends.

9.5/10Food and service were excellent as usual. They are preparing for renovations to be carried out, but everywhere was clean and tidy and direction notices were clear. Still a very good place to meet friends of family and I look forward to seeing the "new look".

8/10I really enjoyed the Moving Mountain Plant burger. It came with a choice of fries, chips or side salad. The burger was delicious. I thought the food was good value for money and service good

10/10We all thoroughly enjoyed our family lunch together at The Turnpike. The waitress who served us was great, nothing was too much trouble for her and she had a very friendly personality. All of our food came at the same time which was most pleasing. The food itself was hot and tasty and we all liked the food which we had chosen. We have been to The Turnpike many times before and would definitely return again,

10/10Very good as usual, waiter service excellent, food up to a very good standard .I particularly liked the hunters chicken and the mixed fruit crumble.
