A good experience - attractive surroundings in a light and airy atrium. Pleasant and courteous staff. Prompt but relaxed service - just what is required when visiting an exhibition. Menus that catered for a variety of tastes and dietary preferences. Food was well prepared and attractively presented. Pricing - good values particularly as the restaurant is in Central London tourist hotspot a few minutes walk from Oxford Street.
Mediocre food with execrable service.
Lovely atmosphere, busy but friendly and helpful service, enjoyable fresh food - but something should be done about the toilet facilities. Long queues, not clean. My suggestion would be to separate toilets from sinks, so people move out more quickly and onto hand washing etc, also separate male and female - I used the facilities twice and both times it was revolting. This is a lovely location and this is not reflected in this area.
Location. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Excellent fish dishes.
Lovely location Good atmosphere. Friendly staff I would recommend it for the convenience of the location, it’s setting and general atmosphere. The food was no better than average
Excellent unrushed friendly attentive service. Great location. Interesting menu.
Lovely food and excellent service.
Good atmosphere and good food
Brilliant - delicious food and excellent service
The food was overpriced £12.50 for a avocado and crab salad Where there was very little of both on a bed of lettuce leaves without dressing!!! I had better food at this restaurant before
After viewing the Manolo Blahnik Shoe exhibition at the wonderful Wallace Collection, we had afternoon tea in their courtyard Cafe/Restaurant. Everything was perfect - great welcoming service, lovely fresh sandwiches, tasty scones with jam and cream and of course the yummy patisserie cakes. Highly recommended. The only thing we were a bit unhappy about was the afternoon tea af 2.30pm is served at the same time as people are ordering cooked lunch close by. The smell of lunch and afternoon tea are not always compatible
We live in London and visit the Wallace several times a year with family and friends. We always visit the restaurant. Our main reason is to support the Wallace as entry is free and we feel we add to the finances this way. Although the food is excellent and very tasty the overall portions are quite small compared to other London finer dining restaurants . It is therefore I think a little over priced for sterling payers...but good for overseas tourists. In addition throughout the last three visits the bill have always been incorrect and had to be returned for amendment. The service is also a bit erratic at times. The wrong dishes were brought o our table, Then the incorrect one given to my daughter rather than to me. We did not make a fuss but the level of service really should be much better.
I decided to have lunch at the Wallace Collection. I had been there before but thought this time I would spend time looking at the exhibits. I had light lunch soup and salad. Both were in the starter section - I didn’t want to get too full. I also had a glass of wine. Wanted Pinot Grigio but was offered Pinot Noir as it wasn’t on the menu. It was a warm summer’s day and as the restaurant had a glass roof so it got very hot. Luckily my glass of cold water was replenished regularly. I enjoyed the experience and would happily dine there again.?
The restaurant at The Wallace Collection is a beautiful space, very light and spacious. One of my favourite places to meet friends in London. The food is elegant, the service discreet and the waiting staff knowledgeable. The tables are well spaced apart and the dining chairs extremely comfortable. It was a hot day when we were there, so I found it slightly uncomfortable under the great glass roof.
Service was friendly but the Atrium was too hot and without enough shade, and the food was overpriced for its quality.
Excellent service after it began, but sat for nearly ten minutes before we were offered drinks
Good food but v. poor service- had to wait for plus 1 hour form main course, even though restaurant was by no means full- profuse apologies & reduced bill didn't make up for the fact that we had to rush the meal. badly-organised staff - floor management needs a firm shake-up.
Very quiet and good location for business lunches.
