Great local spot with good buzz and lovely setting. You do expect better food quality for an average £100+ dinner for two though. Starters were fine but my main course chicken caesar was overcooked and cold. Definitely could have made better food at home...which is always disappointing! We also had to ask for our drinks twice, which eventually came out after the food had been served. Even though I'm a local, I'd hesitate to go to The Waterway again.

Lovely front of house staff and we had a great time but just a couple of blips with the table staff. Food was very good overall but an overdressed Caesar salad was a disappointment. Chicken wings were exceptional though!

The outdoor area is very lively and heaters everywhere so you are never cold. Great ambiance and staff very attentive. The food was lovely.

Generally a pretty good experience but if you don’t like smokers right next to you on an enclosed outer patio it’s not a place for you. They should tell you that you’re going to be surrounded by smelly smokers.

A very good first visit to the Waterway. I’m sure that it would be even nicer in the summer when one would be able to sit outside without risking frostbite! Good food and good service!

It’s a great place to eat in a pretty outdoor setting near the canal. Overhead heaters make safe outdoor seating possible. Service was friendly and food was good.
