7.5/10Very pleasant venue. Nice inside and on the terrace, right next to the canal (if it's warm enough to go outside). Food is good and service very attentive. Little overpriced but venue appears to attract quite an upmarket crowd. Would definitely return.

8/10The atmosphere is gorgeous, 10/10. The meze was lovely, there were quite a few things missing from the menu and so the mains weren't exactly what we wanted. they also didn't want to apply the discount at first. service was a little slow.

9.5/10Everything was beyond excellent!! Amazing value and we had a lot of food to try and sample. Only complaint is the table was booked for 9pm but the meal was rushed as the kitchen closed at 10pm so plates were removed whilst some were still eating. We struggled with this as we felt we were rushed and it was rude. On a Saturday night when you are seated at 9pm you need to allow more time and this did ruin our evening.

Our waiter James was excellent - professional, fun and efficient - unlike the woman who was managing the bookings and seemed disinterested and lacking customer service! Fab atmosphere in the covered terrace. Delicious cod, steak, burger and brownie. Lovely to get the tasters for the table. Good selection of wines.

10/10We had an absolutely lovely time. The food was great, the service was top and the drinks were fab. The ambience was lovely. All in all a fabulous evening, I have booked to come back in a few weeks for my birthday!

9.5/10We had dinner to celebrate my birthday. Lovely location and ambiance. The staff was very pleasant and accomodating. We decided to eat "outdoor" but sadly the heating was not close to us and it was a bit chilly. We ordered cauliflower, salmon pate, tuna and chips. Everything was very tasty. A soup on the menu would have been appreciated! Nobody mentioned my birthday..but it was ok. A special thanks to the lovely spanish waiter and manager. We will come back.

10/10I had yet another wonderful dinner at The Waterway! The staff was absolutely amazing, providing friendly and attentive service that made the experience even better. The food was delicious as always, and I never leave disappointed. This restaurant consistently delivers, and it’s always a pleasure to dine here. Highly recommend!

5.5/10Great local spot with good buzz and lovely setting. You do expect better food quality for an average £100+ dinner for two though. Starters were fine but my main course chicken caesar was overcooked and cold. Definitely could have made better food at home...which is always disappointing! We also had to ask for our drinks twice, which eventually came out after the food had been served. Even though I'm a local, I'd hesitate to go to The Waterway again.

8.5/10Lovely front of house staff and we had a great time but just a couple of blips with the table staff. Food was very good overall but an overdressed Caesar salad was a disappointment. Chicken wings were exceptional though!

6/10Generally a pretty good experience but if you don’t like smokers right next to you on an enclosed outer patio it’s not a place for you. They should tell you that you’re going to be surrounded by smelly smokers.

10/10A very good first visit to the Waterway. I’m sure that it would be even nicer in the summer when one would be able to sit outside without risking frostbite! Good food and good service!
