5/10This is hard to write as I have been here before and everything was fine. We arrived at 6.05pm (booked for 6pm. We were going to the Stables for an 8pm show. We were served a starter fairly promptly but then waited more than an hour for a main course. After around 45 mins we asked about this (being worried about the time it was then 7.10 or so) and were told that we were next in the queue. We then witnessed at least two orders being served before ours and had to ask again. I was eventually served a fairly mediocre meal (as were the starters), and we were barely in time for the gig even having left at least 90 mins for this at the restaurant. We were given a discount from the bill but to be honest if you are pressed for time and do not have more than 2 hours to spare....avoid.

5/10I've been before and had excellent service, but this time (Sunday visit) we were asked to leave the table we had only been sitting at for an hour, when I complained I was told it was because they were busy.... but surely you allow at least one and a half hours ?

10/10Very pleasant staff, not too much on your face but keeping eye on you. I found the menu was a little bit short. Steak, burgers, see bass, linguine. If you want something lighter, chicken and salad or something like this, or crab sticks & salad, not exactly extremely healthy, you will struggle a little bit. Or to have choice of smaller portions. But not the classic caesar salad, was so popular and in lots of restaurants they just ruined the dish. There were lovely dishes in the menu. Just a suggestion.

9/10Pretty outside area with light's, would be lovely to sit in on a balmy evening. Meals were beautifully presented and all of our group were complimentary of the quality of their meal.

10/10I’ve eaten at this restaurant many times and each time I’ve had the best food, great value, fantastic service. This time we ordered sharing plates of food, tapas style and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The restaurant was busy but not loud, the ambience was great and many people chose to sit outside in the balmy evening. The decor is very trendy but not in your face, subtle and welcoming

9.5/10Book direct with the restaurant, my 7.45pm booking though this platform got changed to a 5.45pm though some manual input booking process, luckily we were able to get a table and came to a satisfactory agreement with the restaurant and were able to enjoy a lovely meal.

10/10This was a lunchtime sitting where my guest and I had a main course and desert. Both of us were content with the taste and portion control of our meals. My lamb cutlets were cooked perfectly to my liking. Service was prompt and attentive although we did have to remind about the drinks not arriving to the table. Otherwise a positive experience.

2.8/10There was no one avialable at front of house and had to make ourselves known to your bar staff. When we were finally shown to our table we were given a small table along side the main walkway opposite a large table that hadnt been cleaned down from the previous users. i asked to be moved. We were then given a further table that wasnt stable and wobbled. i had to sort the table myself to avoid spiling our drinks When the waiter arrived we were advised that various dishes were not avilable as you had run out, we chose the roast only to be told that you may have run out of yorkshire puddings, to which i said you should pop to tescos for some aunt Bessies !!, however you thankfully had enough The roast was nice, however the desert, apple & rubarb crumble was served cold as was the coffee All in all an experience i wlll not be repeating

6/10We eat regularly at The Wavendon Arms usually before going onto The Stables. Very disappointed on this occasion, we found it very noisy and on arrival there seemed to be a shortage of staff. Our drinks order was taken on being shown to our table, we were told this was to save us waiting, we must have waited at least 15 mins for our drinks to arrive, on questioning the delay we were told that there was only one staff member on the bar !
