Great food, lovely staff and cool, warm welcoming atmosphere :) The food was cooked amazingly, I had a steak and they got it spot on. Also the drinks selection was really great and had been thought through.
First night out after Lockdown and I have to say it was a magical experience. A mix of euphoria and relief . The staff were brilliant and the food wonderful . Well done Wet Fish For getting it spot on
Table wasn’t ready- left standing - had to find own menus- service poor- food was tepid- steak overcooked -generally a very disappointing evening and I hadn’t wanted it to be like that!!!
We had a lovely time, the food was out of this world. I would definately go back and most definately recommend to anyone.
The food is delicious and service excellent in this ambient restaurant
Fantastic place. Great ambience. Food delicious.
Excellent food, wine and service, although the tempura batter on the cod was thicker than I expected (it should be almost see-through).
Very nice experience, cozy comfortable neighborly vibe, delicious well-prepared food, lovely service.
Not great, both main dish we ordered is over cooked and very disappointed on the cheese platter where they serve Parmesan cheese. That’s is for serving with food not for cheese platter.
Excellent service food and atmosphere
Really delicious food with good veggie options and good service if a little slow but maybe because the restaurant is always busy
I have been having brunch, lunch and coffee at the Wet Fish for years, but this was the first time we have had a proper dinner there. We took two friends with us and all four of us were bowled over by how good it was. Charming romantic atmosphere, friendly and efficient service and really excellent food, from our scallop and chorizo starter, through subtly tasty cod and hake main courses, to cheesecake desert. And truffles to round this wonderful meal off. On top of that, it was excellent value for money. We couldn't have enjoyed it more and will back for dinner soon.
This is the 5th time we dined at the Wet Fish and have never been disappointed... always very delicious food with reasonable price. the only improvement could be flexibility - they don’t make any changes to dishes based on customer requests.
I have enjoyed the Wet Fish Cafe for many years. The food and service are good. My one criticism is that the menu hardly varies which means I do not dine there as often as I might.
Brilliant atmosphere, excellent food and friendly service
We really enjoyed our evening overall. The food was fab as always, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and fun. The young man who served us initially was amazing - attentive, friendly, just great. The young lady who took our dessert orders and brought the bill was the absolute opposite if I'm honest. No smiles, no friendliness. It left our friends, who were kindy treating us to a meal out, feeling a little underwhelmed with the experience. It's the first time we've ever had less than top-notch service at the Wet Fish Cafe. It won't stop us coming back, but wanted to pass on our feedback.
Consistently good, friendly service.
This is a charming and friendly local restaurant that i often go to for coffee or brunch, but this was only my second experience of an evening meal, in this case a pre-theatre dinner. The food was excllent value, very tasty and served by friendly and efficient staff. A local gem!
Excellent food & service. Very enjoyable. Thanks Wet Fish Crew.
