The food was at best poor! Meat tough, vegetables cooked presumably sometime in the immediate past so soggy and tasteless; dirty glass for my drink replaced with one not quite as dirty -simply we just won’t go again

The customer service was very disappointing, to the point that I would not recommend this restaurant or wish to return. The waitress did not take our order correctly. Both drinks orders were wrong. I ordered a chicken curry but received a vegan curry. I raised this with the waitress who was not apologetic and did not offer to replace my dish. Instead she arrived with a piece of chicken on a plate 10 minutes later, by which time i had reluctantly the food they had served. Overall this dining experience was negative

Food and service were faultless. My only complaint was that when I booked (2 days previous) I asked not to be by a door as my wife suffers from the cold (bad circulation) We were given a table right next to a door. We did asked to be moved but was told no other tables were available. It rely spoilt the night.

Arrived. Waiting over 10minutes to be asked what drink we want. Then waited another 10minute to get drink. Then waited so long for our order to be taken. Table next to us arrived after but yet got to order and receive food before us. The starter was king prawns and it was the smallest portion for the price and tasteless. We then waited over 40minutes for main. In this time the table who arrived after us had completed there meal and we were left waiting. NOT ENOUGH STAFF ON FLOOR OR IN KITCHEN. very disappointed. I ordered a coke for my main and finished my main and coke still didn't arrive and this had to be cancelled as I got tired of waiting. Very poor service. We had gone past being hungry.

The waitress who served us, couldn’t have been better , so friendly so welcoming really lovely . Even tho some of our choices were not available, she gave us alternatives and advised us on them.

The service was exemplary and the ambience in the restaurant warm and welcoming. The food was pretty good and with a few tweaks this could be our new “ go to” local. Just pop a small dressed side salad on with the mains and get your onion rings sorted out ( beer batter not tempura and piping hot) and you’ll be there. The atmosphere is lovely and staff attentive so no need for kitchen to rush things out. One more thing, get some traditional home made puddings on the menu- syrup sponge, spotted dick, bread and butter.

I would say this will be my new favourite haunt . Front of house , warm welcoming and allowed us to pick our own table , great start . Then here comes Harry !… asked to serve in an area not really used for dining, you son made our night out perfect !… order off menu , no problem. ‘King’ prawn cocktail was served on a red hot plate. Salt and pepper calamari was just covered it dry paprika! Steak was just fat and gristle and the lamb in the duo was just warm whilst the matching Shepard’s pie was like molten lava! Food was poor throughout but to be fair the staff were very good and took it off the bill. We really like this place, please sort it out. Oh- and get the menu to match the one on the website!

I think this is a lovely looking pub from the outside, it has a cosy feel inside. Our meal was very nice apart from the fact that three of our party had the beef Sunday lunch and the beef was a little tough for all three. The service was very good, the only criticism i would have was there was a bit of a wait between getting the sweet menu and then coming to take the order, but other than that we were well looked after.
