Great food and great service. Food arrived piping hot and young lady working couldn’t do enough for us! Pizza and roasts both delicious! Thank you!
Excellent meal great setting sure to go again! Mega Vegetarian options! Friendly staff and completely followed all rules and plenty of space between visitors!
We had been before and enjoyed it so bought some friends back. Food was very bland and basic - the ordering app system was a nightmare. I had to go on six times to order drinks, starters and mains each time had to repeat name address and bank details. Table was very sticky as well. Sorry nice pub but just very average.
We’ve been going to this restaurant since moving to the area almost 3 years ago. Never disappointed. Last night we went for my husband’s birthday. Sadly they had removed their only disabled parking bay but luckily it’s a quiet street so we were able to park outside rather than their carpark which is difficult to navigate for me. As a recent non meat eater, I was keen not to have chick peas etc. so checked the menu beforehand and chose halloumi fajitas. Goodness, these were absolutely delicious! One of the best meals I’ve had. My husband had whitebait and t bone steak which he assured me were both excellent. I then had Eton Mess Sundae which is my fav sweet. Our server was lovely. Very sweet and efficient. All in all the whole evening was lovely ?? We will be back!
A great little pub serving food outside of the norm, an extensive menu featuring something for almost everybody. Seated in a cosy, relaxed, softly lit dinning area come bar and served by friendly but a little inexperienced staff we felt welcome, in-pressures and quite at home. The food, although slow to come out is worth the wait. I had bubble and squeak followed by baby ribs, the bubble was crispy on the outside and soft and full of flavour on the inside, and as for the ribs, we’ll, you could just pluck the bones out, soft tender and a again great flavour, a touch too much sauce though. My wife had a ribeye steak, cooked to perfection, medium rare, served on a bed of sweet red onion support by hand cut skin on fries. While the steak was cooked very well there was very little seasoning to bring out the flavour of a good price of meat, chef, salt is not all bad! Back to the service, slow, don’t think you’re in for a quick meal then off out for the rest of the night, it’s a night in at the White Swan, no bad thing, The severs however do need to focus a little more on the details and watching the tables, perhaps one bar staff who takes people to the table and sorts the bills too and one server who also needs to push the kitchen pace too?
What a wonderful experience: food good that was all freshly prepared. An extensive range of gluten free options for my wife who is a coeliac.
As always brilliant food, great service and generous portions. I don’t own or work here I just like to give credit where credit is due. Great restaurant can’t be beaten locally.
Great atmosphere, great service and friendly staff.
Best dinner ever , loved the place , nice and warm with a friendly welcome food was first class
Excellent value for money . Really busy so great atmosphere. Very nice so near Christmas
Everything was great
We both had 2 courses under the Wednesday evening 50% off all food deal. All the food was super, particularly juicy succulent steak served in a very unusual but tasty way on a bed of onions and pepper. I managed a couple of pints of the excellent Timothy Taylor Landlord ale and the service was great....all in all a fab evening.
Food always very good. However waiting time for meals just a little lengthy which is a shame because the food produced is one of the best locally.
Great service delicious food
Some of the best food we've eaten for a very long time. Outstanding. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. A very pleasant experience. Highly recommended.
Excellent starters 1 excellent main meal 1 good main meal 1 not so good main meal Excellent bank holiday deal on drinks
Didn’t start off too well as I am disabled and always request a certain table with a bench so I can push myself up. When we arrived at 7 the table had been taken and the rest of the restaurant was empty apart from one other table. The waitress said they were very busy etc but didn’t admit to not having read the request which was not good. The people at that table actually left as we were getting our starter but no offer was made to move us which was a bit disappointing. The meal itself was delicious and the service excellent. Sadly, it was ruined slightly by the fact that at the end I needed to stand up which I did by asking the man at the next table if I could hang on to the back of his chair. The restaurant was nowhere near full and the evening was tainted by the fact that not only was the booking form not read but then she told an untruth in leading us to believe the restaurant was heaving, which it wasn’t. Great meal however. My husband had scallops and a beautiful sirloin and I had fish pie and Eton Mess Sundae. Lovely!
Always great food here. A nice atmospheric small country pub.
Excellent food and hosting. Welcoming atmosphere. Would visit again
