Extremely bad selection of Vegetarian lunches, my friend and I ended up having pizza due to limited options ! Then we had a small pudding and hot drink each. We both started pain in stomach before heading home, on returning home I messaged my friend and asked he how she was feeling, she said really bad tummy and pounding headache, she was in bed, I felt exactly the same and had also had to go to bed, didn’t feel right until the following evening. As neither of us had meat or fish we can only think whatever made us both feel so unwell, must be down to hygiene. We won’t be returning.

I took my grown Son and his huge German shepherd and sat outside to eat and drink. Service was great and the food amazing. He had the beef pie and said it was the best. I had the aubergine lasagna which was very tasty

Sunday evening was quiet and we wanted a Roast meal, The service was great, a bit slow and the menu shorter than normal. The food was great. Don't feel they can serve in evening what they had obviously done so well at Lunch time

First time I've been here for a number of years but everything was excellent. The service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The food was excellent, well cooked and attractive on the plate as well as having great flavour. Overall a most enjoyable evening and we will definitely re-visit in the not too distant future

When I booked I requested (tongue in cheek) a table “in the dry and by the fire”. It was dry and by the fire but it wasn’t lit! The radiators in our section were cold and we like most everybody kept our coats on, not comfortable.

Everything was fine but the toilet situation is quite disgusting. The two main toilets were closed for a second week in a row so and we could use the disability toilet which was so disgusting really bad

Fabulous food, great service. Wonderful atmosphere. The fish cakes had run out by 7:40pm which was sad. Very very slightly chewy duck in the Asian duck salad, but totally delicious overall anyway. Will certainly return.

We took my mum out for her 88th birthday. Service was great, food was excellent and good choices. Only slight negative was a table of 4 was squeezed in next to us when we were waiting for our puddings, didn’t understand why they were accommodated further down the restaurant, where there was plenty of space, and table of the right size. Just felt a bit crowded then ☹️ But all in all we had a lovely evening and will definitely be back.
