7/10No regular slimline tonic available, only flavoured. Fish cakes with poached egg had chilli flakes all over the egg which were not liked and not stated on the menu.

9/10The lovely waitress who clearly agreed with me that the Druro wine from portugal was unlikely to have a nose reminiscent of Mediterranean woods as Portugal and the Druro is many miles from the Mediterranean!

8/10A nice location but very full car park. The food was decent, with a good choice for veggies. Service was quite quick, (1 hr 3/4 for 3 courses) but not hurried. Part of my meal was cold, but this was quickly rectified.

7.5/10Very friendly and efficient staff. However our main course we watched being taken around the restaurant and back to the kitchen! The waitress obviously did not have correct destination for the order. Eventually it arrived and, naturally, not only the plate but the food was cold. This spoilt our enjoyment of the food and we asked for further gravy in the attempt to re-heat the food.

10/10Went there for my sister-in-law's 70th Birthday, food excellent and staff were friendly and polite and catered to our every need. She and I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definately go again.

8.5/10Food was really good - especially the fish and chips. And the place is very nice. Service was good too, until it came to paying the bill, at which point it became a bit of a fiasco getting it right. If you're using the special lunchtime menu, just make sure that's what's being applied to the bill.

7.5/10We went to the Woolpack for an eightieth birthday lunch and began with a glass of champagne! It was very crowded (the last week of vouchers) and a lot of clients had ordered fish. Unfortunately, my husband cannot tolerate an intense fish atmosphere and we asked to move table. We were relocated from the Restaurant to the bar. The staff were helpful and supportive with what was just an unfortunate glitch. Would we go again? Yes, but on a much quieter day!

7.5/10Went for Sunday dinner, which was very good. We had mains and desserts. The mains were lovely, good portions of well cooked traditional roasts. My dessert, apple and damson crumble, was overcooked, and chewy. However, the custard helped. Service was polite and friendly, if a little slow at times. Having said the above, I would definitely go back for another Sunday dinner.

8/10We are regular visitors to the Woolpack so we know the standard of the food is good. We always have a nice meal and service is good. A great recommendation for a local restaurant, pub or to sit outside for a drink on a hot day.

10/10Visited after just reopening following refurbishment. Looks really nice inside and the outdoor areas look much better. Was really busy, but worth the wait. First time I've had a Sunday roast there and it didn't disappoint.

2/10Where do I begin - a maddening experience - Very poor service/management and ridiculously poor food: An hour for starters and over two hours for a meal! Yes we did complain - "your feedback is noted" was the response every single time. Starters: Prawns and tomato sauce. NONE of the extra ingredients advertised. Again - "your feedback is noted". Mains: Bones in chicken pie - we were told this was due to the pub ordering pre-cooked chicken in bags! Again - "your feedback is noted". Service: MEGA slow service - over TWO hours for a simple lunch. We had to chase TWICE!!!!! Overall: No seasoning in any dish. Bland poorly cooked food. The duty manager on duty took one starter off the bill (why when two prawn dishes were poor)? Also, he did nothing about the bone in the pie! No lunch menu was available (although advertised). why? Having expressed our dissatisfaction, the "we do not care attitude" left us shocked. Having taken clients to this establishment regularly, we expected so much more. If you respect your time, want food cooked with care and seasoning, and do not want to potentially choke on a hazard - run a mile and find another restaurant.

10/10The restaurant looked really lovely and we'll ventilated. The staff were amazing as always. Service was quick and the food was just amazing. My kids enjoyed theirs and we too. The food was fresh, very tasty and varied. We will definitely go back again.

9.5/10Great to be able to eat out again at our favourite pub. Last dinner out before lockdown and first dinner out after easing of lockdown. Fab that we could celebrate our anniversary eating out. Food and service was great! We even got to see a European green woodpecker that stayed around throughout most of the meal!

5.3/10We appreciate that we are in the run-up to Christmas, but we did not expect cold vegetables to be served. The biggest problem though was that they hurried us off the table as they had overbooked and needed it for other guests. Had they told us that they re-book the table, we may well not have dined there. The manager was aware of the problem with the food and did make an allowance for it.
