Great Staff.... very friendly, The was a helpful guy, sorry can't remember his name and a young lady called Angel who was a great ambassador for the Hotel!

The food was OK and the room was lovely. Sadly the service let things down. There were several young staff who were very sweet, but there seemed to be no one in overall charge in the dining room and so we’d be left unattended for quite long periods. A child at the table next to us didn’t receive his burger until everyone else on his table had finished eating.

We met friends for coffee at 11 & lunch at one. It took ages for our 3 coffees and 1 tea to arrive although they were not very hot We decided on more coffee as we knew we still had a while for our table and the 2nd cup was a bit better. We ordered our meal at our booked time. We were the only table there at that time and the two starters arrived which were perfect. We ordered 2x fish & chips & 2x burgers. The peas were not very warm but the fish & chips were perfect. Our burgers arrived and mine was cooked well done and reasonably warm but my friends was very rare and cold (She also had a GF roll.) We told the waitress who took it away, at our request, to re heat it in the microwave unfortunately they heated the roll and salad with the burger resulting in a mushy roll and soggy salad. However we, were not charged for that meal but we were very disappointed so didn’t order dessert. I do have to say the food did look lovely when it first arrived.

The staff were wonderful and the service was excellent. The food was delicious and plentiful...certainly beat us..we ended up taking a doggy bag. The ambience of the restaurant was perfect..such a wonderful building full of history. I highly recommend the King's Arms and we will definitely return again

I had a business lunch meeting and I asked for a quiet corner which they provided and it was perfect for my purpose. The staff placed us on a larger table to give us more space for paperwork. The food was tasty and the glass of wine good. It was very reasonably priced. Staff were attentive, friendly and professional.

The staff were very accommodating and as this was for both my parents birthdays (consecutive days) they gave us complimentary cake and Prosecco for the birthday couple. Sunday roasts were excellent and the beef was roasted to perfection. Lovely large Yorkshire puddings and excellent gravy. Will definitely come back again.

I ordered roast pork, unfortunately the meat was not fully cooked, was carved in very thick slices and was very fatty, due no doubt to not have been cooked fully. I left most of the meat, and expressed my disapointment, and would have expected some feedback from the kitchen/management. Interestingly, i had friends eating next door in the bar about 45 minutes after us, and they said their pork was fine, though they felt it had been blow torched. This suggest at the very least it was put back in a hot oven. perhaps the chef was not having a good day. Previous experiences have been vey good, but this has put a dampener on it.

We had the roast dinner and it wasn’t very hot when it came out and the beef was so rare I couldn’t eat it. Chicken was nice though that my son had. All fine but wouldn’t rush back.
