Warm welcome and lovely private dining experience for a baby shower. Scones were warm and nicely prepared. All staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Parking a little tight but got sorted for all of us thanks to staff.

Really confusing to find as it appears as a living complex but you are in correct place. Limited parking . Looks really posh. But we were very welcomed. Billy waited on us and was a very charming young man. The food was delicious. Myself and my husband had the steak and our friend had the soup of the day which was tomato and coriander. We had two of the plum cobbler which was divine and my husband had peach tart. Which was very refreshing on the pallet. Very impressed. Very reasonablly priced.

Went for the afternoon tea. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating to food allergies. Lovely atmosphere and good quality food for a reasonable price.

The sandwiches were poor. A thick layer of margarine with low grade ham and other fillings. Sent the sandwiches back and asked for a scraping of spread. They came back exactly the same after we had finished our cakes. Disappointing as this was a 60th birthday celebration for 5 people. The staff serving were pleasant enough. Unfortunately defending the indefendible poor quality of sandwiches. Offered a complimentary soft drink as a gesture!!!

Nice and quiet afternoon tea for me and my wife. The only real issue we had was parking

It wasn’t clear this was actually a restaurant in an old people’s home and I felt a bit embarrassed about this on arrival. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. Lovely decor inside. Service was ok but when the soup was served I was advised the butter was to share..

This was the 4th time I had had afternoon tea at this restaurant. Obviously I had previously found the experience a very good one, so I had booked it again. Everything was as I'd expected, except for the food. The sandwiches didn't have the crusts cut off and were over packed, so as soon as you bit into one all of the filling came out. The worst thing though, was that the sandwiches and cakes were hard at the edges. We arrived a little late, and this made me wonder whether everything was made beforehand. Even so, these sandwiches seemed to have been out for quite a while. Apart from the main food, the dessert was lovely. I am in a wheelchair and I did like the fact that this restaurant did have a lift to get up to the mezzanine floor, as many old buildings do not.

Found this little gem after being badly let down by another which we found to be closed despite having a booking. Didn’t think we’d stand a chance of getting anywhere for a last minute afternoon tea. So glad the other place fell through Three Church Road was great, beautiful surroundings, lovely food and great staff. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone

Positives: Staff were friendly, corrected mistakes. Negatives: We were sat down at a table which had lipstick on the teacup. We were served bread/sandwiches that had mould on them. Due to the latter issue above, we were provided complimentary drinks and a discount, and a new batch was provided. Teacup was also exchanged straight away. Service was quick and easy.
