7/10The food was good but you can get a similar quality curry in Sparkhill for half the price. The service was great- very friendly and welcoming. When we attempted to use the 30% discount from TheFork we were told by the restaurant that it doesn’t apply on Saturdays, so there’s some kind of communication problem between them and TheFork which was frustrating.

10/10This was an ideal place for an early pre-theatre dinner. There were so many interesting items to choose from on the menu, including a good selection of vegan options. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly and helpful. We would certainly recommend!

I love this resteraunt, it’s pretty much my fave in St Albans. It’s Indian food but a bit quirky- I really like the buns and the chocolate chai best! The waitresses and people who run it are very friendly and polite. I went with my colleagues for a work do this eve and introduced them- they all liked it and said they’ll come again.

4.5/10We’ve been here before and the food is always pretty good but the service is something to be desired, constantly had to keep asking for things, cutlery, plates, drinks etc. shame really coz it’s got a great selection of Indian street food dishes which are pretty good.

8.5/10This restaurant offers dishes with interesting flavours making it hard to choose between the wide range of starters. We enjoyed 3 courses. However, the lamb biryani was disappointing. It had too much rather ordinary rice and also an undercooked nan cover to the dish, which we found out afterwards wasn't supposed to be eaten. This should have been advised. The desserts of carrot pudding and malai ice-cream were delicious. The staff are delightful so I still recommend it.

7.5/10A good little place for lunch considering most Indian restaurants are closed that time of day. Food was tasty and the service friendly. It had a few options I had not come across before and some fusion dishes which sounded good. Bill was pretty reasonable, I would stop by for lunch again next time I am in St Albans.

Butter chicken is mild, suitable for kids but not meeting my expectation. The rice with lamb covered with a pastry was good. The chicken served in iron steel plate was good and remained hot till the end of the meal

10/10We had 8 of us here and the starters were excellent with the Samosa Chaat, chilli panned and the Schezwan fries proving to be very enjoyable. The meat Thalis were enjoyable with a good range and enough of everything to satisfy the taste buds. Karak chai and Gajar halwa topped off a lovely evening. Good value for money and I enjoyed the Berry smoothie. Service was good with Jessie and Vikas both very helpful.

Food was tasty and good portion sizes. Service was good but starters and mains brought at the same time and bill was incorrect. Didn’t appreciate the service charge being added at the higher rate but felt like I couldn’t remove. Restaurant was cold. With the 50% fork offer it was good value and would dine again.

10/10We had walked past this restaurant a few times and the food aromas were amazing so we had to book a table. Omg, thank goodness we did as the food was superb. The starters (puri balls) were a taste explosion in your mouth and something I’ve never experienced before. My main course (sizzling chicken tikka platter) was cooked to perfection and my garlic nan accompaniment was perfect also. If you haven’t already eaten here please do as it’ll be fabulous.

3/10We ordered two small bottles of water and they gave us bottles that had already been opened and charged us full price as if they were new bottles plus the cutlery was dirty... The service was poor and disorganised. We also had this discount but they didn't apply it on the Thali because they said it was a set-menu even that it didn't state anywhere on the menu and they didn't warn us about even though the knew before hand we booked with the discount. We felt they were sneaky and far too cheaky

Hello Melanie, Thanks so much for your review. We gave you fresh bottles of water as you ordered not pre-opened and we would never do that. I am not sure why you thought the service was poor or disorganised as you was served you got the table was ready when you arrived, the order was taken promptly and served, we even offered help you to choose the food for you which you politely declined. We checked in between as well how the food was and you was really happy with the food and not even once mentioned anything about the water, cutlery or anything and seemed really happy. You did query in the end about the bill about your discount which while bookinmg clearly states that the discount does not apply on the pre-set menu which is Thali. We even asked is that ok and you said that is fine and your mother, I am assuming here, also mentioned the food and everything was really lovely and couldn't stop praising about Thali and the rest of the food. So I am not sure where is the 1 star review and all the rest of the co

10/10Food all cooked from scratch rather than pre-prepared, really makes a difference. The staff are friendly helpful and very humble. Great value and great food really so much better than a lot of standard sloppy curries. The biryani is made to order and is perfection
