7/10Enjoyed my first - food good and plentiful as always. The only issue that I had was that none of the staff knew anything about The Fork and so I had difficulty get my Yums accredited, although we got there in the end. Suggest you might remind them of the programme !

5/10Staff were welcoming. Unfortunately the food that i personally look forward to at a carvery were quite poor. Specifically the stuffing, this was wet and gooey and like baby food (the front pot and the new pot behind it). Not much vegetables most were empty. Thanks

7.5/10The only disappointment was the payment receipt which was so faint difficult to read. I thought it read £58.00 so gave £65.00 to include tip When I got home and examined it with my illuminated magnifier it was actuallly £53.00 Too big a tip. 6/10Staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Our young person who waited for us, took our plates when we had finished, asked if we wanted anything else and when we had ordered drinks then asked if we wanted the bill then too. Food ok if but not much selection other than the carvery and few other options. Meat was being carved and any dropped bits on the counter were being scooped up and put on the plates. Had a selection of beef and turkey and was asked if I minded the fat on the beef. I didn't mind a bit but I couldn't eat the beef at all as it was nearly all fat. There was a fresh joint of beef ready to be carved but it seemed that wasn't going to be an option until every single bit of meat and fat had been used up on the previous joint.. Venue is tired looking. Sat over a carpeted area that had some replacement carpet on which looked tired and worn.

7/10hadn't been here for a while, definately improved, although they were short staffed and only 1 chef doing everything at the servery... choice of 5 meats which all looked decent quality, good selection of veg. There was quite a lot of spilt food on the floor, including gravy, but again I think they didn't have the staff to keep on top of it- they did try to tidy up.

9/10I have never failed to enjoy my visits with this restaurant. The Management and staff are welcoming and friendly and the food never fails to be excellant. I sometimes wish that you are not so busy as the queue for food is sometimes so long but this can only be good for you!

10/10Lovely Carvery, Polite staff. There was 10 of us for a birthday meal out and choose carvery as can usually cater for most tastes, we had one vegan who they made sure was well looked after, there was 4 choices of meat and queue went down quickly. Only thing a disappointment was quality of ladies bathroom one comment made was it was like walking into public toilets you find on street due to amount of graffiti on the doors and one totally blocked up so toilets could do with a bit of attention.

10/10I love this place. I am coelac . They are careful and tell me what I xan eat. They also give a a clean large spoon to serve myself and make sure the plate is total free of any crumbs from the yorkers.

10/10When booking a table I asked for easy access as two friends with me have mobility issues…this was taken into account and we were given a table that was ideal for our needs and also close to the servery. Additional help was offered should we need it…. Our server Lorelle was very efficient and got our orders right and no undue waiting. She was friendly and a pleasure to talk to. The choice of meats was excellent and plentiful and cooked to perfection and the vegetables were superb. The Yorkshire puddings were a dream . Although the restaurant is undergoing refurbishment the work did not impinge on our enjoyment of the occasion. We all thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and it was a very reasonable cost. 5/10First time we have had a bad experience at the Toby, there was only a choice if two meat so my friend had the beef it was tough ..I had the pork it was tastless. We did 2 courses for £9.99 and they tried to charge for the puddings on top. On arrival I sat waiting for my friend and I didn't get offered a drink for at least 15 mins but the waitress kept walking past me. My friend picked up some tools to get some potatoes and the guy behind the server shouted at her and told her to wait so he could get the correct ones. I use the Toby alot but now I am thinking of going elsewhere.

10/10Excellent meats, fresh veg, Hot plates, excellent array of beautifully cooked meats and vegetables, Yorkshire puds and gravy. Everything you could want for an excellent roast dinner. Staff very friendly and attentive.

Been here loads of times but today food was disappointing, and we were put under the air con which made our food cold and the kids wouldn't eat there food. Lamb overcooked.

9.5/10Only downside as being a lot older was the waiter was going to sit us all next to a family with a disruptive child and a screaming toddler. I refused as “ Been there done that” and would prefer to be away from earshot. He duly relented so overall thoroughly enjoyed our service.
