7/10I confess to being rather disappointed with our meals at Captain Manby’s today (23:03/2023) the food was actually good, the gravy was awful, spoiling our food. I wish servers would ask before they fill glasses with ice!! I hate ice unless the weather is very hot & this spoiled my J20. I was horrified that we were charged £5.99 for a small bowl of food for a 2 year old, he ate a tiny amount, he never eats much when we’re out but we like to give him a little just the same & as I have said I was shocked. I won’t be rushing back there in a hurry

10/10Really happy with our recent visit. Accommodated all requests and even had dumplings as an option which I've not seen on the carvery prior to this visit. I hope that's an addition they're planning to keep!

10/10Well worth the 69 miles we travelled from West Norfolk to eat there today as it's the only Toby Carvery in Norfolk. Excellent value and all freshly cooked unfrozen products. Very generous portions of meat and puddings too. So much on offer in the carvery and roast potatoes best ever. We'll be back.

6/10It was Friday evening, so pretty busy. Service to table was quick for drinks and inviting us to the servery. We decided to wait for the drinks and wait a few minutes before queuing for our food. The queue was quite long mostly due to just one hardworking carver and assistant replenishing the veg etc. Unfortunately the self serv veg area facing the queue was suffering dropped veg etc all over the worktop which was not appealing or appetising. The carver was doing a stirling job, but needed a colleage to assist and get the queue down to a sensible size so not his fault, however it was at least a 12- 15 minute wait as they tried to replenish etc.... Ok meal, but unfortunately will not be rushing back...

9.5/10we often eat here as we like a roast meal , it was nice to see the roast potatoes have improved and are no longer dry and tough to cut .we had stopped having them. What is needed now is some normal size yorkshire puds as well as the large ones , as at the moment even the smaller ones are too big . having said this there is always a good selection of veg and gravy and meat. And the staff and waitresses are always helpful even when very busy

6/10We was on a long weekend break so decided to try the Toby, We booked last minute on line but couldn’t get booked within a 2 hour window, we decided to drive and pop in in the off change to see if we could get in an hour earlier which they did without question, we had to que for 20 minutes to get food but that was ok, disappointed with the meat serving, only the thinnest slice of Turkey and one of Beef ever, only had cauliflower cheese available but they did accommodate and made me a portion without cheese which was great, meal was nice, service good, shame about the meat portions but all in all nice

7/10Having booked a week earlier after our last visit booking a particular table, very dissapointed when we were not able to sit at that table today. Being weekly visitors over the past 5 weeks we believed 7 days booking in advance would have been sufficient time to book a particular table.

10/10Well there were 10 of us in our party we all went up to the carvery and it was lovely and Good brides your food all clean and tidy the area and Food was hot and fresh looking really enjoyed it the service was quick and we most of us had pudding is very good service very clean now really enjoyed it lovely hot Sunda meal

7.5/10A very friendly welcome on a very wet day ???? All the staff were happy to help and very friendly. Our server Roberta was excellent, she kept an eye on us and popped over at just the right times ???? All the carvery meats were lovely and as usual the Yorkshire puddings were ginormous ???????? In regards to the food my only disappointment were the carrots looking slightly discoloured and the roast potatoes weren’t crispy, that is only me being picky. The desert “billionaires bar” was amazing, be aware you need a sweet tooth for this one. Many thanks for a lovely afternoon ????.

10/10It was my husbands birthday and we were keen to eat here for the occasion. We were not disappointed and will be heading back in September when we are on holiday in the area! Food was hot and the carvery had plenty of selection. The gravy is the best I have had when eating out.

10/10The atmosphere is always welcoming and the Carvery very inviting. Vegitables are regularly replenished and not left to stew or dry. I favour the pork and beef where as my wife always chooses the beef which is cooked to her liking.
