I had to read a lot of small print and click on 'agree' before ordering my food because I have a wheat allergy! Some of the food was quite dry and despite my informing them of my wheat allergy, I was still not advised what I could or could not eat! Some things are obvious, but there were roast potatoes which had been cooked in beef dripping which contained wheat flour and the cauliflower cheese contained wheat. Also the gravy had obviously been standing for a long time and wasn't very hot.

Had to wait a bit at desk and to be seated, went straight to the food. I thought it was strange when I could hold the serving spoons, but when we sat down to eat the food was only tepid so I called the waitress and she put them in the microwave

We visited here for Sunday lunch, the carvery was excellent with great choices of meat, which included lamb, Turkey, gammon and beef, all cooked to perfection. Great selection of vegetables, roast potatoes and the best pork crackling I’ve tasted for a a while. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Would certainly visit here again.

I believe all ovens not working , so no Yorkshire pudding . Our waiter looked half asleep . Not a lot of taste in the meat . Plates too hot too handle overall the whole place needs an upgrade

Called here on way back from our caravan down west .what a lovely friendly place. Ideally situated next to car park .food was lovely cooked just as we like it .real home from home with plenty of choice and a few little twists too .great to see roast parsnips and lamb on menu .no complaints from us we will be back . .
