10/10Our waitress Michelle was welcoming, attentive and made our experience very enjoyable. The chef/server's were very good and the food was very tasty. We have not been since covid, but booking online was easy and we would come back. Thank you.

8/10Lots of tables not cleaned off. People piling their plates with food and leaving most of it. I put what I knew I could eat on my plate and ate it all.

5/10Somebody showed us to an area and said she'd be back to take our drinks order. She didn't come back, we got fed up of waiting and so just went up and got our food from the carvery. A waitress later came and asked us if we wanted a drink. She hadn't been told we were there but she was then very helpful. However no-one had told me to put my car reg in for the parking I saw someone else do it and so followed suit. The 4g wouldn't work in the restaurant so I couldn't down load my blue light card or the QR code to get my discount so make sure you do that before you go and take a screen shot. Food was OK.

7.5/10The food was really lovely but it took half an hour to cue up. Which really hard for me as I’m disabled. Would have been better if you could be called to get your meal rather than standing so long.

9/10Clacton on sea is one of the best Toby’s. The food is always fresh hot and never run out of the meats. I feel they could give a little more meat for the price of the meal. The meat is always lovely but today I found the beef ver fatty and chewy. But the rest of the meal was lovely

4.5/10Check in was chaotic. Had to chase for glasses for drinks dispenser. Some drinks not available from the dispenser and what was available seemed watered down compared to other Tobys.

5.5/10Got to the fork parked up went in yes I was an hour early for my booking and still served us and let me and my partner eat the food was really good except the roast potatoes very disappointing one of mine I couldn't even get the knife to cut it it was that hard this is not good when we came it we should of been told that we should of booked our car in as we thought the car park was owned buy toby but it is not and the waitress told us we now have to wait for the parking ticket then phone the fork and then will have it cancelled so please don't try to keep the roasties hot for so long this is what has made them hard and don't cook so many off in one go then they won't be wasted

Booked table. Waitress very welcoming. However, was very disappointed that they only do the carvery. What you see on carvery serving table is full menu. The advert picture demonstration shows a plate of lettuce which suggests salad is offered. But no, only got what you see, which to me was lacking in vegetable choices. Potatoes were dried up & looked burnt/overcooked. Lack of vegetable choice. Good if you want a huge Yorkshire pudding to fill your plate! Waitress said they had dropped the menu, it is only what you see is what you can get. So it’s dried up potato’s, a veg…….& huge Yorkshire pud.

8.5/10The staff were so polite friendly and welcoming, the service from them was great, they are prompt with drinks and always available for service even though it was a busy day. We had the carvery which was lovely. I’ve always rated this toby as the best I’ve had. We visit clacton from London quite a few times in the warm weather and I always try to make sure I eat a roast at this Toby before I return home. It’s a nice large size restaurant inside and right near the sea, if you have dogs you can eat outside if it’s warm I have done so before, so great views if you want to eat outside also. The restaurant is clean and has a nice atmosphere, toilets could be a little updated. But all in all in my opinion the best Toby I’ve been to and can highly recommend.

10/10One of the nicest and well run Toby’s and we’ve tried a lot of them. All the staff seemed switched on and very attentive to ours and others needs and also didn’t mind as we rocked up an hour earlier than our booking for a drink after a very long walk.
