Very busy , welcomed in , friendly staff . One of group had beef and pork and meat was fatty as given ends of joint , not nice as not much meat on pieces. Was looking fwd to it but disappointed after that . Meat portions were smaller than used to be we thought . Other enjoyed turkey and gammon. Turnip was bit tasteless and cauli cheese was bit dry . Roasties and parsnips were nice.

Staff were very friendly and service was good. Food was good but cauliflower could of been cooked a little more. I like it aldente but couldn't eat it as it was too hard., Otherwise rest of meal was beautiful.

The whole place looks grubby. Floor very uneven and dangerously slow in places. Toilet area not clean and one hand dryer not working. The meat was ok, but the veg left a lot to be desired. Dried out cabbage, raw and hard cauliflower of weird consistency Yorkshire’s ok and the gravy was ok. No service to comment on as waitress didn’t appear until the end so unable to complain. Won’t be going back.

Really lovely and pleasant staff members, family atmosphere, understanding and kind. Lovely experience..gets very busy at times but that just shows that the food is really tasty, freshly made.

We’ve been to this restaurant before and the food and service are always excellent. Unfortunately this time our choice of beef from the Carvery was poor and very fatty. My husband and I were unable to eat any of it. It’s a shame as the rest of the meal was lovely.

We came to the Carvery after a busy day with no time to eat. We arrived for 5pm having booked through The Fork. I had asked for a quiet table and the restaurant fulfilled my request and supported my food intolerances and low fat diet. We both enjoyed our meal but were too full to enjoy a dessert, so we ordered a take away dessert to eat later. We plan to invite the family to join us on our next visit.
