When we arrived we were told that we would only have 75 mins at our table and that the clock was already running as the other 2 guests were a few minutes behind us. This was not made clear when I booked online and the gentleman made us feel very uncomfortable. Our waitress was lovely and the food was good.

Only one chef serving old carved meats over the counter then he scooped up some and put on someone’s plate Had to wait ages for roast potatoes and a few vegetables as all ran The waitress was very good

Place was packed but attended to very well. Unfortunately by the time we got to getting out food there was only 2 choices of meat. 7pm on a Sunday is a very popular time but other than that we could not fault it!,

The carvery meats were good especially the Turkey & Beef although the Lamb looked dry and unappealing. The roast potatoes were good and the parsnips and Cauliflower cheese!! Unfortunately the carrots, cabbage & peas looked so dry and poorly presented. We bought guests from America to try an English carvery and were disappointed.

Didn’t have my booking which I made on the Fork website even though I had confirmation. Said they were having problems with The Fork bookings. Had to sit in the bar area and tables had not been cleaned up. Also had to wait for many items to be replenished at the food area.
