9.5/10Staff very good and food , until 3 men came in , playing "garagre" type music on mobile phone . Slightly disturbed the atmosphere until the y left .

9.5/10I'd prebooked and requested a quiet. table with a high chair which we were allocated after a short wait. Just wondered why it hadn't been prepared in advance. Apart from that everything was super. Delicious hot food, friendly effiecient service so HIGHLY recommend

9/10As usual, the main meal was of excellent quality. Unfortunately, the sticky toffee pudding did not live up to remembrances of past visits to Toby’s restaurant. However, the staff did their best to remedy the situation and finally accepted that the pudding was unfit to eat and deleted the cost from the bill. We will certainly visit again, if only for the main meal.

8.5/10We usually stop here when going to Cornwall the food yesterday was great had plenty of meat on plate and good choice of vegetables. Not sure if there was a staff shortage but table service wasn't happening, I asked our young lady for some water but never got it, when we finished our meal we decided we'd like a dessert, waited for about 10-15 minutes and in the end went up to the cleaning station and ordered it from there. Maybe we had been spoilt in past, maybe because of where we were sitting or possibly staff shortages, having said that wont stop us coming again, thank you.

6.5/10The staff were friendly and helpful but few issues with the food The beef was very fatty and chewy We cut open two roast potatoes and found black tuff inside, not sure what it was but show the waitress who did not seem bothered

2/10Generally very good at every stage. Been going exeter toby Ryan lane for years. Over the past months, the vegetable cooking has been substandard. Veg dry a d hard, no rotation to keep vegetables moist. Roast potatoes dry and hard, almost cremated. This is now common. After years of eating there, now looking for somewhere else to eat. How hard is it to cook roast potatoes.

8/10The food was tasty and plentiful and the beer was kept well. The ambience was relaxing. I am going to book a meal for me and a couple of buddies soon.

8/10The restaurant was excellent being a local person. Unfortunately short of Staff who were working flat out. This time the meal was cold ie vegs in a carvery the previous week excellent and hot but went at a different time later.

6.5/10Had dumplings in gravy in another Toby. None here. Only green veg was peas ????. Toby in Caerphilly was superb. This one just wasn’t as nice. Service was great though

6.5/10Not impressed with being called my lovely,you guys ,although waitress very good ,found behind the carvery a bit disorganized, there was only six in the queue but the chef went off for Yorkshires and the queue built up to a dozen or more ,the food was tasty but I think we were lucky if we had 5 ounce of meat .

8/10The carvery is always amazing at this Toby. Was disappointed that not all the desserts weren’t home made but the crumble was awesome. Sticky tables and a long queue for the dinner itself but tasted awesome.

9.5/10Met up with 3 girlfriends for casual T. Chose the Toby for location and price. Promp and good service. Had the carvery it was great, lovely choice and g nice and hot.
