6/10While the vegetables were lovely, with a good, varied choice, the meat ruined the meal. Between us, we had three different meats, turkey, gammon and beef, it was impossible to cut any of them let alone chew it. It was so disappointing as we had been there two weeks earlier and the meat was perfect.

8/10A reasonable amount of meat would have been appreciated. I give my 3 year old grandson mor than I got. I do note that men tend to get more meat than women.

10/10The Toby Kenton Bank serves the best carvery in the northeast. When celebrating or just popping in at short notice the Toby is first choice.

9.5/10Our yearly get together 8 of us was very good 7 had the carvery and dessert for £12.99 There was one person who had salmon wellington bit too much pastry. Otherwise everything was r cellent

8.5/10It was one of the best meals I have had at the restaurant in recent years. I think this was down to the fact that we went early and everything was freshly cooked. It was a new turkey which was lovely and the roast potatoes were crispy which is sometimes not the case. Overall we had a lovely visit and the waitress was very cheerful and helpful.

6.5/10The food sadly was not great. The roast potatoes were not very hot at all, the yorkshire puddings were just crisp there was 5 of us and nobody enjoyed it.

9.5/10We go there at least once every couple of months there always friendly always clean the servers on the food are really pleasant, it is always tasty food never had a visit where we were not happy

4.5/10I'm sorry to have to say this but our annual bran tub night at the toby was not a good experience this year. Table wasn't set for Christmas, no salt and pepper on the table. We had to ask for everything. Did not get our drinks replenished until we asked for more drinks. The gentleman carving on the servery did not look at us or even smile whist he served. Honestly a really disappointing experience.

8.5/10Great choice for carvery with 4 different joints on offer although waiting time was not so good. For volume of people in restaurant the layout for food was not helping flow of queue.

9/10The service was really good the only fault was my son and his wife got the beef with their carvery and it was very fatty they told the waitress and she offered them a reduction on there bill which was fair enough we would still recommend the carvery the rest of the meal was lovely

8.5/10Carvery was delicious as always. Service was non intrusive but very good. Never had a bad meal there yet! My son made room for a dessert too (no idea how?!) but also enjoyed a cookie dough sundae which he thoroughly enjoyed

10/10The staff were super welcoming and friendly. It was very busy but they were all smiling and working together. Food was lovely. Meat cooked well and veg looked fresh and colourful.

8/10Much improved food. Nadia our server was very friendly and polite. Not comfortable with 6 adults in a booth and we were very easily changed to a round table without problems. Will go again.
