8.5/10Regretably young children can be noisy and cry which spoilt our meal, perhaps they could be seated in another area and all together away from other diners.

6.5/10The food was good quality, there was plenty of choice of meat and vegetables. Front of house was a bit slow, even though we had booked it still took a long time to be seated. Where we sat was right next to the bar, so a bit noisy for us and something for us to remember to add to our booking request next time. We would come back again.

5/10I articulated my concerns to the staff on duty who listened and I feel, felt with my complaints well at the venue. I attended with my son (35), whose birthday meal it was, my daughter (33), my granddaughters 13 and 8 and my partner. We all had carvery and the food was as per expectation, however, when we went to the servery I found that the vegetable section was covered in spiled food which was also on the floor, buy no chef staff were present. I asked a member of waiting staff to alert the chefs but to no response. An elderly lady in front of my party (there was only the 7 of us waiting) said that she was unable to eat because of the state of the servery and left. I went to speak to the host, who went into the kitchen and eventually, two chefs came out but neither apologised for keeping us waiting (some 10 minutes by now) and the first words out of the lead chefs words to my partner was "Yorkshire?" and proceeded to carvery the meat at such a pace that half of the slices fell on the

6/10Was very upset on this visit only 1 staff on carvety alot of the food, especially the lamb hard and dry and some veg very dry, at one point we was left standing while he left to speak with someone in the kitchen, will try again as first time was great

9.5/10Staff was very helpful and very happy, food was lovely, only fault was i am disabled and use a stick and on leaving to get gravy my stick slipped on food on floor,luckily i didnt drop my food

8/10Restaurant was very busy and we had to ask someone to take our drinks order. However, no queue for food and the food was hot and plentiful. The custard with pudding wasn’t very warm but overall a good experience

10/10There was no queue for food, it was hot, plenty of choice of meats and veg and gravy was delicious. Haven’t been to this restaurant for years but will certainly be going again soon! Great value for money

6/10Our food was lovely, the staff were attentive, unfortunately there were children running around and we were sat in probably the coldest place in the building. I had to wear my coat to eat my food, there was a terrible draft on my neck.

10/10I had booked the restaurant for a party of 9 people, including my 5 Year-old granddaughter, to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We received a very warm welcome and taken to our table immediately by Lewis. I have an allergy which Lewis had noted from my booking details and he gave me several options which he talked through with me. I was so impressed with this young man and can honestly say that I have never been offered such wonderful service in any other restaurant. I am normally made to feel that I am just a nuisance and given a manual to read! We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening and will certainly return to Toby Carvery at Norton Canes. Grateful thanks to all the staff and in particular to Lewis for making this an excellent dining experience.

9/10The food was really excellent - lovely tender roast meats and vegetables "done to a turn", not overcooked but just that nice crispness in the greens, etc. Decor is looking a bit shabby now. Service was good despite it being a really busy Sunday lunchtime. Well done!

2/10We arrived on time for our table and we had to wait 15 minutes after our reservation then was told there was only beef and gammon left when we did get to the carvery all that was left was gammon there were plenty of veg but was cold they said that there was no more meat cooked and there was still lots of people to serve there excuse was they had some walk ins but there should have still been enough for everyone being as they knew how many people had booked also the gammon was very salty they need to soak it over night before cooking

5/10Staff welcoming, friends had carvery which was ok. I had salmon wellington which was stuck to the plate and salmon was overcooked in some parts to the extent my fork would not go through it sadly. Didn’t complain at the time as didn’t want to introduce negativity to the table. Some cutlery also missing from table, Otherwise ok

6.5/10Love the food at the Toby but where I sat was so cold it made what should have been a pleasurable meal very unpleasant. Make sure you put customers inthe heated part of the restaurant.

2.5/10Second Time very disappointed with the food at Toby Carvery, Brownhills. Roast potatoes advertised as fluffy & crisps ours were hard, dry and cold the only vegetables which were ok were sprouts., rest were cold. Gravy was also cold. Picture on wall showing their Ham Slices very thick instead of wafer thin ones we had. Won't be going again for a very long time having given the restaurant a second chance after the same problems in October.

3/10Shocking service. Called to queue for the carvery, then a ten min wait for chefs to arrive and carve. No apology for delay. I asked for the lamb, before serving the chef noticed a slither of fat which he cut off. I expected him to replace the fat with more meat. He didn't. I requested more. He curtly said that is the correct portion. He did not offer an upgrade. My husband asked for lamb and pork. The chef forgot and cut lamb only. My husband reminded he had requested pork as well. Chef then carved pork. Therefore my husband received a double portion of meat. No consistency. He did not wish for mint sauce. Mint sauce was poured on his plate. My husband requested mustard. This was not provided and my husband had to remind him. I asked for a few Carrots. Shovel fulls were piled on. The communication skills were shocking. Someone asked how our meals were. We told her the above. She offered to fetch me more lamb. I had finished my meal by the time she returned to say sorry for the delay....without the additional lamb. We were offered free desserts. Ten mins after receiving the menu they finally took the dessert order. After 20 mins someone asked what dessert was ordered. Ten mins after that someone said the dessert would be with us soon. Finally after another five mins the desserts arrived. We will not be returning. If I could give a zero score I would.
