Another good Toby. Lamb was on, a nice surprise midweek. Staff are excellent especially Nova, 100% positive and just a lovely person! I was very late due to a fire in Birmingham. No problem, friends waited for me and table organised, a quick car reg entered and go straight to the yummy carvery. Great friends catch up over a lovely carvery.

Good carvery, with nice choice of food. Topped off with a nice desert of raspberry arctic roll. Waitress was very helpful and gave me a number for a taxi.

How sad that the first time we experience Toby Carvery after everything has opened to find a gruff manager and massive queues at the carvery - not just those wanting carvery and take aways, but all a la carte orders going through carvery as all veg is plated up there! We waited in the queue for 30mins. Food was OK tbh, but the organisation of things needs sorting. In a connected world, it would be quicker and safer to ask people to pre order x time prior to arrival, order is then confirmed on arrival and food is bussed to tables. A bit of coding I'd all that's needed to digitise the menu and ask people to make choices. Staff would actually receive tips for service too. Honestly, everyone in a big long snaking queue only needs one person with any illness and we'd all have it. So how have Toby thought about infection control in a pandemic- remember BJ said each co had to work things out for themselves, Health and Safety at Work legislation still applies to employees and customers. On the plus, the server was helpful and the guys on carvery were great, but it's not an experience I want to repeat anytime soon.

You could not fault the staff and service but the car park was filthy and perhaps a little more attention to detail on the outside might help just to perk up a very tired exterior !!!

Staff very friendly, food good but I thought the portions of meat very poor at £10 I would expect a good portion not wafer thin three small slices. Spread over the plate to look more. Let down when asked for a little more told pay a £1.75 extra I was not happy. I do appreciate meat is the most expensive part of meal but pork the cheapest meat on the market.
