8/10Busy place on a Sunday afternoon, but well-managed by Dan and team so the atmosphere is cheerful and upbeat Meats include roast lamb, and were attractively presented along with a large choice of accompanying veg. Excellent value in these austere times.

9/10Would recommend the Toby loyalty scheme available on their App if you are a regular. My carvery meal tasted even better than usual because it was free! (one of the rewards after every 6 stamps).

8.5/10Very satisfactory experience on a Sunday afternoon. There is another Toby nearer where I live, but I prefer to come here because parking is easier and it's almost always quieter. Staff - Dan and team - are always friendly and efficient.

9/10Usual reliable carvery meal, but I didn't drink my usual Carling because I had a free strawberry soda instead - a reward for doing the weekly competition on the Toby app (definitely worth downloading!)

9.5/10Not uncomfortably busy at 4.30pm on Easter Sunday, so I decided to have a starter for the first time, and would recommend the generous prawn cocktail. Carvery had pork crackling and roast lamb as well as the usual offerings. Worth getting the Toby App for the rewards and special offers.

9.5/10Always good to be here on a Sunday afternoon when there is roast lamb added to the weekday carvery options, and even better when the Liverpool match is on TV and the restaurant isn't too busy!

6.5/10Service was terrible never asked if we wanted a drink so had to go find someone after 15 mins. Never offered a desert so we didn’t bother. Loverly looking restaurant and good food.

9/10Surprisingly quiet with Christmas only a weekk away. Good hearty and satisfying meal, and friendly, efficient service. Great value, and a better experience here than another Toby nearer home which is often hectic. Will be back.

8.5/10Busy Sunday afternoon, and the cooks were working hard to keep up, so not all the usual meats were available and I had to go back for beef. If I'd had more time I would have waited, with a drink, for a more opportune moment to go to the Carvery counter. Good meal in the end though, and service and management excellent as usual.

9/10Pleasantly quiet after the Sunday afternoon rush (may have coincided with Liverpool match on TV!). Was greeted by name - impressive - and enjoyed friendly and super-efficient service, including speedy payment with Toby gift card. Satisfying food as usual

7/10Not quite as satisfactory as on my last visit. Not all the meats were on offer when I went to the counter, and at the end of the meal there was an over-large amount of inedible fat/skin/gristle. Service was good, and the restaurant was pleasingly quiet for a late Sunday afternoon.

9/10Reliable and efficient as usual. Even at very busy times (eg. Sunday afternoons) it is possible to be in and out with a satisfyingly full stomach (but not an empty wallet!), within 30 minutes!

9/10I know the restaurant well, but generally go on its busiest day (Sunday). Needing a quick meal before a busy evening, I went instead at 4.30pm on a Friday - it was surprisingly quiet and I had my best experience there yet! It was great to be able to get to the gravy first (for the Yorkshire pud) then go back for the veg - a near-impossible task when it's crowded! Got a free pint too, after signing up to the app. Friendly service and spacious car-park. !

8.5/10You know what to expect at "The Home of the Roast", but I was pleasantly surprised by this particular venue. conveniently situated near the airport and with a large car-park. On a busy Sunday afternoon I was impressed by the efficient management of a constant stream of customers, and by the staff generally - friendly and good humoured. The food was good and plentiful, and the place wasn't as chaotic as Tobys can be, with so many children present. In all, a good advertisement for the brand, and I'd be happy to return here when in need of a quick and satisfying meal.

8/10A warm welcome on arrival and quickly shown to our table. Food was hot which is a blessing in itself. So many places serve warm food. There was lots of choice of veggies and variety of meats to choose from. The chef served everyone quickly so there was little queuing. The staff were attentive without being pushy offering more drinks ect. We wanted to sit after our meal for another drink and we weren't pushed out once we had finished our meal. A nice experience and quite relaxing. Thank you!
