Super staff, attentive without being intrusive. Great value for money and good basic food. We will certainly visit again. It was my father's birthday and the staff sang the 'happy birthday' song.

We have used this carvery many times and the service was good. I must say that the place nees a make over. I wish to mention that Danielle was again working hard. She looks for work to be done and was doing it even in another area. She def needs a mention

It was so disappointing!! Once we got our food and sat down to eat it the food was cold! Told a member of staff who than told us to go and get another plate of food. Which we did, yes it was warm but not hot, the vegetables were under cooked and hard, gravy was like water, to say disappointing would be an under statement!!! Payed 55 pounds for food that we couldn't eat. Will not be returning again

Jay our server was helpful and polite . He was cheery which is nice on a Friday evening out after a long week at work. The food was hot and great variety of veg. Great value £8 a plate … brilliant !

This weekend the meal and atmosphere were really something. The staff were on top form, to cap it all the meal was the best we have had but saying that we have never had a bad meal at all times we have eaten there.

we were first timers here today and we really enjoyed it. the food was really good, hot and well prepared, the staff were excellent and it was not super busy so we had very little waiting. personally i prefer the beef a little rarer but it was not over cooked and was tasty. the gammon was perfect. we will definitely be back again

Despite the restaurant being packed to the rafters the staff and food was of top quality. The staff made us feel welcome and took the time to have a chat at the same time as being hard at work, well done especially to Jade.

It wasn’t crowded on Sunday evening and we were seated quickly. We were asked if we wanted Yorkshire puddings, and what was put on the plates looked like squashed flying saucers. I complained to the guy on the servery, and he said that that was all they had. He said “supply issues”. There were no pigs in blankets, and no crackling and I just got a shrug. The roast potatoes were very greasy and squashed, but as I was trying to find a few decent ones, another guy came out of the kitchen and replaced the dish with a fresh batch which were fine. There was a very poor choice of other vegetables. When we took our seats, I could see that a huge dish of very large Yorkshire puddings had been brought out. I found the manager and showed them the pathetic Yorkshire puddings on our plates and they came back with two huge puddings for us. Sounds good doesn’t it, but they were overcooked and tasted slightly burnt. As this was a Sunday the Carvery cost more than during the week, but if components of the meal weren’t available for whatever reason, then there should have been a reduction in the cost.

Nice restaurant. Staff were all polite and helpful . The calvery was nice . The puddings were very disappointing . I accept that you run out of things that’s was ok but the quality of the puddings were very disappointing .Dry floury sponge that was supposed to be sticky toffee,where the toffee was just sauce drizzled over the sponge and custard was disappointing. We had to wait fir forks and plates ran out but wait wasn’t too long . Must say again the staff were polite and pleasant and even though it was very busy didn’t see one miserable face .

The little Toby carvery is a wonderful place to dine. You are welcomed at the door and taken to your table. One of the staff will take your order for drinks and let you know when free to go to the carvery

The off carvery lunch was disappointing. Have had lovely meals there before - will stick to the carvery in future. They were short staffed on this occasion but couldn't fault the service itself still.

I hate queuing. The front of house team imho are hopeless and take so long to deal with customers and get them seated . The classic your table is almost ready 10 minutes after your reservation time Not impressed
